In addition to Mills, D got an unspecified “Deans Scholarship” to Santa Clara. Any estimates on that? Collegeboard says 5K. They let you know in January and/or March.

My son received $19,000 per year at St. John’s University, still waiting from others-his SATs were total 2110, B student, not many extracuriculars. Guess he impressed at the interview!

D received $44,000 over 4 years from Whitworth, requires 3.0 to keep it; she needed SAT of around 1875 for that. There is one higher, another $1000 a year, but needs somewhere over 2000 and needs a 3.5 for maintenance. This is very similar to the Baylor package and I would highly recommend every kid find a rolling admit safety with $ where they would be content, it takes all the pressure off the remainder of the process.

Congrats, somemom! D knows some kids at Witworth and they love it. My D’s Lewis and Clark letter arrived today, and there is a merit award included! D felt “special”.

Dd received Presidential scholarship for 12000 over 4yrs and another for 1000 for 1 year called keys to Aggieland. She was offered 2000 for nmsf and the package would be around 55000 total if she becomes a nmf. All this from Texas A&M.

Bunsenburner, My D was admitted EA to L and C with merit, too.
It boosted her confidence and she is all ready to submit her other apps over the break. L and C is a nice school that would fit her. We are happy and she is hoping for even more choices, although Land C (except for the rain) is a very good fit program wise. I must admit, though, that her L and C app. was slapped together at the very last minute when she decided to go for EA. She hit ‘submit’ at 10:30 pm on October 31st! Her essay is not the one she will be submitting to the rest of her schools and her new essay is far superior. L and C said that this is the strongest and largest EA group they had ever had.

Lewis and Clark, 8K per year, gpa 3.9 UW/4.075 W, sat cr770/m710/w690, 7 AP’s

Shrinkrap, My oldest D went to Mills. It is a very special school and she received an awesome education there. She is now 23. If you have any questions or concerns about the school, just ask!

D got $13K/year from Rider, the Provost scholarship…$52K. No word from the other schools yet.

D (4.0, 32 ACT, 2090 SAT) received so far:

Heidelberg - $9,000 academic and invited to Scholars Day to interview for up to $18,000, will also be competing for vocal music scholarship
Wittenberg - $15,000 academic and invited to Scholars Day to interview for more, will also be auditioning for vocal music scholarship
Alma - $15,000 academic and invited to Scholars Day to interview for more, will also be auditioning for vocal music scholarship
Bowling Green - free tuition, will be considered for full board and room too

Thank you citrusbelt! I’ll have to get back to you.

My son found out today that he received full tuition renewable for five years at Drexel in Philadelphia (they have a five-year plan with a year’s co-op program). It’s $27,000 or so each year for five years.

He also received $10,000 per year from Fordham and his admission letter said the amount could go up. (I think they decide after all admissions decisions are made.)

Hey, he’s going to college!

We had that “hey, she’s going to college” moment too. D recieved the 12,000/year from Whitworth along with an invitation to compete for more this spring.

A lot of awesome scholarships here! Let me add my daughter’s at Savannah College of Art and Design, $15K merit scholarship per year, with a 3.0 GPA needed to keep it.

D has heard from her two EA schools and has been offered the following:
Washington College (MD), $13,750 per year for 4 four years with GPA >3.0
Ohio Wesleyan University, $25,000 per year for 4 years with GPA >3.5

She is eligible to compete for additional scholarship/grant support at both schools. Now we sit back and wait on the RD schools, as well as the full financial aid packages once FAFSA and CSS Profiles are submitted.

citrusbelt, congratulationd to your D on her acceptance to L&C! I think mine did the same thing with her application, except she put together a very nice art portfolio. I think all of her creative energy went into this art supplement! D just recieved a letter from Linfield College notifying her that she got awarded merit scholarship, too! She is eligible to compete for additional merit money in February. Linfield has this really cool competitive scholarship, where kids can choose a field they like from a variety of arts, languages, sciences, etc. and then spend a night on campus and compete for scholarship money the next day. Woo-hoo!

Congratulations to all merit scholarship winners!

Elmhurst College- Presidential Scholarship of 60k (15k/year).
I had a 4.0 UW (not sure about W) and 29 ACT.
Need to maintain a 3.25 to keep it.

Son notified a bit ago about $19K Presidential Scholarship to Drew and got letter from Fordham that he’ll get $20,000 annually (I can’t remember the name of the scholarship).

His twin is a deer in the headlights these days, since with all his applications, he was a couple weeks later in filing. So, the results are a couple weeks later! Nothing like teaching the beauty of getting the job done EARLY.

This whole business is insane. It’s like playing Deal or No Deal on tv.
