Junior year is NOT that bad… if you freak yourself out about it then it’s gonna be way worse.

11th… Which is probably the result of like a 5 way tie for 3rd.

The difficulty of Junior year was so overrated. Wait till you get to Fall of Senior year, then youre ****ed

Junior year in general is the hardest of your highschool career. The difficulty varies a lot though obviously from your classes and school but I feel that a lot of people here are trying to scare the former sophomores a little too much.

I’m excited :]
just have the attitude that nothing’s too hard for you and remember that you only have to work your ass off for one year and imagine all of the pride and happiness you’ll feel when you get accepted to your dream school.

MattNC - 10th? Please elaborate.

He was probably referring to MIT’s class rank.

Well that’s comforting.

wait till you get to college app time–you super f_______!

heehee.

I am the German national team and Junior Year was my Australia.

^6/10

10char.

Yeah, and the chance of that is really small? Not to mention it hurts even more if your best friend gets into your dream school and you don’t.

^Congratulations! (I’m referring to your location.)

negative nancy’d

yeahh i agree with the other quote =]

work my ass for year and hopefully it will pay off! well this summer i got a few AP summer assignments, SAT review and thats it

i was going to enroll in physics at the local community college, but my mom planned a vacation instead. soooo yeah… lol

Who needs to work hard when you know you’ve got the talent to bs it all?

^I like thinking that (and have done so for the past 16 years of my life), but then I hear all the horror stories (my school’s junior year is notoriously hard), which makes me stop and think, “what if I really do fail?!”

But the pressure hasn’t really sunken in yet and I’m still singing up to add things on to my schedule for next year. So we’ll see what happens, haha.

I love the feeling of pressure. Namely because I excel under it, and it’s fun.

I don’t handle pressure well. I seem to find no expectations of myself to be a more preferable, even if I have to lie to myself to instate that mentality.

MIThopeful… if you actually excelled under pressure, then you probably would be at the top of your school.

That said, I thought junior year was pretty tough, especially when a lot of kids I was competing with were taking 6-7 APs.
