Class of 2012 Results: Celebrate, discuss, support here

Congrats to both PackMom and GoHeels!

PackMom, does this mean you have to change your name to PirateMom?

Lol scout59, S1 is a jr. at NCSU (DH an alum). I'm a Pirate and now S2 might land there too. We are a house divided! I guess I could be" Pack-n-Pirates" or "PandPMom"

Congrats GoHeels81 on the Clemson acceptance. All the Clemson people I know are crazy about the place. Good luck on your S's other apps.

S2 is still waiting on Western Carolina acceptance (supposed to be in Dec. but we are hoping earlier) but already received a letter inviting him to join the Honors College (before acceptance) which seemed odd. Oh well ..one in hand is great for now.

PackMom, congrats! I'll try to explain how to add to the list. Use your cursor to "grab and select" the whole list. Highlight the entire list that way. Then press the ctrl key plus the c key (press c while you are still pressing ctrl). That copies the whole list. Then you reply to the thread as usual. Type what you want to say, then press ctrl plus the v key to paste the entire list into your message. At that point, you can insert your son's acceptance in its correct spot. Voila!

Actually, PackMom, I knew your son was at State - I'm a misplaced North Carolinian, myself (and Wake Forest alum, too.) I just like the sound of the name "PirateMom."

Congrats to everyone!!! DS got his first acceptance today!! (Tulane) so at least we know he won't be living in the basement next year!! Doing the happy dance with all of you today!!

Hoot!!Hoot!! Let's get on the party hats!

sunnyflorida, scout59, jym626, and packmom, Congratulations to you and your kids!

Lots of great acceptances here! Congratulations all around, and I've got a bowl of Cheetos to add to the party.

Congrats to everyone! Yesterday, I was accepted at Knox College in Galesburg, IL with a 12 K Hermann K. Muelder Scholarship and a 2K John Huston Finley Scholarship!

This is my first acceptance!
Hopefully, there is more to come!

hey, fencer's mom - The dorms we saw at DePaul last spring were AMAZING! Some of them were nicer than my daughter's current room...Of course, the room we saw at Loyola was also nice and had a fantastic view of the lake, although the guide warned us that this particular room was an anomoly, view-wise.

My D has already sent in her housing deposit at DePaul (just in case.)

Oh, adn one more acceptance - Univeristy of Vermont! It probably won't make the cut, but right now my D is reveling in the feeling of being "wanted."

congrats everyone! So far i've been accepted at Tulane, Indiana University, and Loyola University- New Orleans. Does anyone have experience with money at these schools?

i got in to university of the sciences in philidelphia the other day, with some merit $$$ for all 6 years (pharmD program)! safety, but still excited to be wanted. i don't know whos happier that i'll be going SOMEWHERE next year, me or my mother...

My dd has gotten acceptance letters from all of her back up schools. Mercer, U. of Tampa and Univ of South Florida. Each offered merit scholarships that really made her smile, but she's still waiting for her number one choice of FSU (2 weeks and counting).
Good job to everyone on getting in those apps in a timely manner!
Congrats to everyone on your acceptance letters!

Ex-cell-ent news all around! Well done, folks.

Found out about a week ago that I was accepted into RIT's Photojournalism program, waiting for the fat envelope now :D

D was accepted yesterday to U of Michigan! OOS. We're thrilled here on the east coast! Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Congrats & Happy Thanksgiving to all!

D received full tuition merit at a safety (her first/only acceptance) yesterday. I was thrilled/relieved (it's a top 100 U) until we discovered the 12/5 award acceptance deadline. We haven't even had a chance to visit yet!

Does anyone know whether this is normal? Do merit offers generally have earlier deadlines than May 1?

My daughter has been accepted to UT Austin, Texas A&M Engineering and Univ of Oklahoma. She has been offered a full ride at OU. We are waiting to hear from Stanford her ERD, Cornell, Columbia and Wash U.

SuperMom, I think that is a fairly common practice. They want to pin down those highly desirable students. Congratulations to her for receiving their love, even if it's not her first pick.

Lots of great acceptances here to be thankful for on this T-Day!
