Class of 2012 Results: Celebrate, discuss, support here

I grew up in Cleveland Heights, about 5 minutes from Case... Great school; crappy, cold, slushy, gray weather. In the old days, campus was spread out between the up-the-hill dorms, and the down-below campus. Not a very social place, and not very cohesive and "fun". That was years ago, so things may very well have changed, especially since they have built some new dorms on campus.

I went to Law School there, but never lived in the dorms, again this was long ago. Safety was an issue, especially in the evening. The north part of the campus is adjacent to Hough. It might be better now with more parking and newer dorms. Off campus housing was good. Little Italy was up Euclid and was very safe, walking distance and had great fresh canoli. Cleveland Heights and Shaker Square area had a lot of apartments as well.

Twin B got accepted to Drew today and got a presidential scholarship (merit) for $19,000/year. All he has to do is maintain a 2.0 average!

RE Case Western: My good friend's son is a freshman there and while he loves his classes and his teammates, he says a lot of the kids there aren't on the friendly/bubbly side. He thought Cleveland was gorgeous in the fall - and is now awaiting winter!

I was wondering how you already knew that? Am I behind the curve or what?
thought they had done away with ed/ea and no one got accepted until this spring?

I think her D was a transfer.

My daughter's best Christmas present was the letter that came Christmas Eve --her acceptance at Savannah College of Art and Design.

Yes, my D got into UVA as a Spring transfer; there were 38 spots....

My D had a good week before xmas. Accepted at UNC-Asheville, George Mason and Goucher College. She had previous acceptances from Ramapo College of NJ and UNC- Greensboro. She was deferred EA from UMBC and took it well. She should here from them in January.

My S has been accepted at Villanova (EA) and Penn State (has said he will only go here if he gets into the Shreyer Honors College). He still has to hear from the other colleges he applied.

Okay, I just found this thread, and I kinda feel like bragging =D

I got an acceptance and full tuition scholarship to UPitt a couple months ago. Also a full-tuition NROTC scholarship which could be used at Pitt, Carnegie-Mellon, or Duquesne.
Accepted to Villanova.
And I think there might be a couple others so far, but I tend to forget about some of these becausseee

also an Appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy (second choice overall) annnd, even more importantly APPOINTMENT TO U.S. NAVAL ACADEMY.

..already accepted it, so USNA '12
So at this point, any acceptances I receive simply linger in the shadow of my USNA Appointment

:)

S. accepted to Bard. A bit strange because he did not apply early action, so we didn't expect to hear yet. Welcome news nonetheless!

Got into UCF with $10,000 and Truman State in Miss (Grandparents lived there) with $16,000 and waiting on UF

Whohoo! DS just got the Dean's Honors Scholarship at Tulane ($36k/yr). The letter said it went to the top 50 of 10,000 applicants! Even if they expect a final count of 50 (meaning perhaps they sent offers to, say 250 ppl) thats still pretty great!

Congratulations jym, I have been waiting to see what happened. I do think that Tulane only extended 50 offers, you should be proud!
