"The University admitted 25.8 percent out of 17,448 applicants"

"The incoming class has an average SAT of 1403, counting critical reading and math sections only, an average unweighted GPA of 3.84 and an average ACT of 31.2.

In terms of diversity, the students represent all 50 states and 57 different countries. Almost half of the students, 47 percent, are non-white, including 21 Native Americans, 269 Hispanics, 521 blacks and 1,130 Asians."

Isn't it a bit misleading to say "incoming class"? Emory has no idea who will actually come to Emory, and the set of those who enroll could be markedly different from those accepted.

i know those numbers aren't necessarily indicative of the students that end up attending emory, but nonetheless they are representative of the admitted students, which most would say are the best indicator of how difficult it is to get into any one particular school. so, i'd say we can look at these numbers not necessarily for how smart the students at emory are, but in terms of the relative difficulty compared to other schools admissions.

with that said, you think emory will go up in the rankings, stay the same, or go down?
