I just found out I made it to the 2nd round of interviews (njms) for the njit bs md program! I interviewed the first day they offered interviews.
anyone else?

and does anyone know how the process works if you’re applying to more than one program with njms? would I have more than one njms interview if another undergraduate school passes me on to njms? or does one interview cover all programs?

You only have one njms interview and can choose between undergrad schools if you get in. I haven’t heard back yet, but I applied for the St. George’s program since I’m applying for njms through tcnj.

Ok, that makes sense. I’m just concerned because I haven’t even gotten the first interview from TCNJ yet, so I don’t want them to think I’m set on NJIT or something if they find out I went for the next round with them. I’d prefer TCNJ anyway…

Also, I’m debating whether to take the first possible interview slot, as I did with NJIT, or wait it out until I hear from TCNJ and possibly have that first round of interview so they know I’m considering both programs at the NJMS interview.

I’d say to just go for whichever slot you want. I don’t think TCNJ would mind. However, aren’t the njms interview slots only in February? In that case, you shouldn’t have problems. I had my tcnj interview a few days ago, so you should have yours before your njms interview.

okay i’ve never been to any of these interviews and i’m just curious to know what kind of questions will be asked? like…why do you want to become a doctor, why did you choose this program why this e/c and stuff? or will they ask any weird or more specific questions? this interview process just seems so stressful - how would you know what is the right thing to say?

All the questions you just listed came up. The interviews I’ve had so far were actually fairly laid back. My tcnj interview was with the head of the biomedical engineering department, since that’s the major I chose, and she was nice. Just think about what to say beforehand and don’t be afraid to take a few seconds to think about what to say for the unexpected questions.

Hey! Did anyone get an interview for Boston Univeristy’s accelerated med program yet? In the past years they’ve come out as early as the first week of January! Ahhh

Did any one hear from slu medscholars program. I know it is around 1st week of march, my friend said she got the acceptance letter on last week of December. Any one else got it?

Hey guys I was wondering the same thing, I received a phone call congratulating me on my acceptance as an economics major on the pre-med pre professional track. I think that this just means I got into the undergraduate program. Am I right?

How long did you have to wait to get interview invitaion from NJMS after your NJIT/TCNJ interviews? Does NJMS notify if a student is not selected for NJMS interview?

my njit interview was in November I think and then my njms interview was in January ( I was notified in December but I only scheduled it after the holidays)

I heard back from all the BS/MD or early programs I applied to, finally.
