That’s honestly ignorant and immature. Obviously they aren’t ready for the real world. They act like they’ve experienced real discrimination and racism. “reverse discrimination”??? DOESNT EXIST. the phrase itself contradicts itself. Reverse discrimination in its REAL meaning actually means no discrimination.

Well, people like to obsess over solely grades and test scores. Let’s all just disregard URM’s essays, teachers recs and EC’s.
I read a thread once where an Indian kid was whining about how US colleges should just admit everyone with high GPA’s first, high test scores next, then if they have room, everyone else. ***?

And damn I can’t wait to post on decisions threads.
My GPA is low, and I won’t disclose my EC’s on the stats templates… just so I can see someone’s blood boil and watch them say “Oh, congrats. Affirmative action?..” :)

I know people at my school are going to say that. I’m the only black person at the too. The next doesn’t come until… God only knows. The top six at my school (more emphasis is on that than top 10 because of the Yale spread :D) is three white boys and three girls (me being black, one Hispanic and one indian). Go minorities whoop.

And umm… That international kid will probably not get in because they have higher standards for internationals. Who said we want them to come if they are going to act like that?

Top*** oops

Alright… I’m the highest ranked black guy at my school.

I could be #1… if I didn’t slack.

Me^^ too!
Except I don’t slack lol I’m cool with 6. I desperately NEED to stay at 6. I wanna be in the Yale spread… And get crazy scholarships.

Technically… 11.

We have ties for multiple spots.

For some reason the Top 10 all look at me like I’m some genius.

I stopped believing that ish after 9th grade.

Ties? I don’t think my school would do that… I think they go to the thousandths place. Or even one more.

We still have ties lol.

Oh this just blew my night:

+IB Spanish IV SL: 07: “Volver” oral retake
Due to inclement weather, the “Volver” oral has been moved to Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011. We will begin promptly at 2:15 in room #2908. This is the only retake time allowed for this oral. No other days will be scheduled.
Be sure to arrive on time and to discuss the movie.

Guess what else is tomorrow… My date for the AMC.

lol, i’m 40/730. Top 10 is so hard to get into in my school. I kinda gave up on it.

On a side note, i’m the best black kid in my grade rank wise.

Email your teacher back.

Dax- I wish I went to the cross town school. Mine is 54% minority which means 50% of the school doesn’t try. That’s why people from the other school come to ours… My rank would be lower if I went to the other school.

That was an announcement to us through emails.

She’s dead set on these things usually.

F. M. L.

****.

Man… now I gotta lose another year for a chance to do the AMC.

**** you Spanish IV.

**** you IB.

Man… I wanted to get to USAMO this year.

I wish I went to the school across town, too lol.
I’m the second best black girl in our class. Kind of sad, actually…

Email and tell her

… No teacher here checks the school email at all.

Until the next morning.

Doesn’t hurt to try

Besides… most stop checking their emails at 8, or so they tell us.

Try it!!!

It’s a Spanish teacher. One that I know particularly well. She ain’t budging it.
