for example, abate: origin: batten-to beat down, so abate means to diminish, lessen</p>

Well, it works better for me, since my brain automatically rejects every single memorized information after three days..so analysis works for me.
Plus, when you analyze a word, the meaning sticks to your brain..and remember, that Barron's says that we should spend at least one hour per section. I do that with the analyzing, and since there are 50 sections I need approximately 50 days to do so. It's great!
But then again, if you can memorize everything that easily, then why not go for it, huh? Unfortunately, I have that flaw. The only flaw I have actually. :cool:</p>
