Class of 2012

OMG! This thread is becoming un...whateverable! Stop it with the MATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I guess we should stop with the math ;)

I was wondering, now that the common app is out we need to get serious about our college list. Lets help each other short list shall we? :D

I am working on an online application that will help to save our college info and then get the results on a single page too!

count me out. :)
Since I'm applying locally, a college list is the last thing i need. In fact, I don't think I'll be needing a college..anything!

nop, I mean the "Sharing intellectual interests is an important aspect of university life. Describe an idea or experience that you find intellectually exciting, and explain why." essay. It's on the Stanford supplement to the common app.

Isn't that the exact thing as the essays on the Common App? And where did you find the supplement?! I can only find the short-answer prompts...

I'm too lazy to read thru the conversation, so I'm just going to post something completely of topic! - This!

rama, no! the common app has only two essays: one long essay of your choice and a short answer about an extracurricular activity.

The Stanford supplement isn't online yet but, as you said, the essay topics are already available.

Ajay comes and pushes the thread right to the top! *phew

Taking the SAT1 3 times.. would it really affect my chances.. if there are 2 applicants with the same scores.. 1 took it 3 times the other once.. would the one who took the test just once have a significant advantage over the other?

It really doesnt matter how many times you take the SAT jhl. Its not going to affect your chances in any way. They are just going to consider your highest score :)
