<p>congratulations! Based upon this board, It seems like my son will be in a great freshman class with some terrific students.</p>

<p>it is the nyc alumni chapter for fsu. my s got in touch with them a few weeks ago and they invited us all down to the city last saturday to watch the game at a restaurant they meet at to watch all the games. While the game was not good (from an FSU perspective), they were so nice to our son (and the rest of us). He really got a good sense of all the school spirit that surrounds FSU. The place waqs packed with FSU alumni. They are planning more activities for the freshman class from the new york metro area. they plan to have some kind of a "send off" party in the spring.</p>
<p>NY CollegeDad - I think these guys (used to) actually get together and watch games at the ESPN Zone in Times Square. I read about that somewhere... We've been in touch with Alumni Associations around the country (so many Navy moves) and they're all really great and fun.</p>
