Class of 2013 admissions stats

These stats just appeared on the accepted student website.

Total applicants: 6904

Percent Accepted for September: 20% (up from 17% last year)

Overall acceptance rate (including febs): 22% (up from 19% last year)

869 out of 1537 students admitted scored an 800 on at least one section of the SAT

Ha! I beat you to it!

oops acadia beat me to it

5 sets of twins.

haha. im a twin.

where did you guys get this? or it’s accessible only to admitted students?

saaamie, I’m a twin too! Except my brother didn’t apply…

These numbers aren’t looking too good. I’m worried.

hah I def wouldnt be any of the 869 that got an 800! At least the kid on jep already knows he’s in!

I’m a twin!

So many twins. That makes me so nervous.

Well, I’m definitely not one of the students who received an 800 on a section of the SAT… I didn’t even get into the 700’s:(. Only the high 600s

Screw Middlebury. I got rejected.

Anyone else get wailisted? (haha let’s hijack the thread  )

I am absolutely waitlisted.
Expected a flat out rejecton…
Now I have to worry how to get off waitlist(s)

haha im a twin too!
but my brother didnt apply

lol my interviewer was a twin …they must have a thing for them

canadianemigre, Midd certainly has a thing for this twin…a waitlist thing. :frowning: Not a fan. I can’t decide if I should try to get off the list or not, seems pretty dicey to me, especially under the assumption that they accepted TONS to the WL because of the economy.

So, good thing I got waitlisted at almost half the schools I applied to…

5 Alaskans: I’m one of them, and two more of them are my best friends!

does anyone know how many are on the waitlist?

According to their common data set, last year midd waitlisted 1812 applicants (which is, strangely, about 500 more than the 1316 they actually accepted). 831 people accepted a spot on the waitlist, and 49 eventually enrolled. I’d guess that they’ll probably take dig more heavily into their waitlist in 2009 since everything is so unpredictable this year.

hey LaMariposaAzul, my sympathies, I got waitlisted too

but I agree with both you and vermontkid - could be a long shot, or could be our lucky year because of the economy - who can tell at this point!

I’m staying on that waitlist until the bitter end though, as naive as it may be…
