hkkxp - I think you have an excellent chance getting into CAS ED :D. You stats (even without a retake!) and EC's look fine.

At this point just take a deep breath, and default to a "hey, whatever is meant to be, is meant to be" attitude. If you are meant to attend NYU, things will fall into place, if not, I am sure that something else, just as great or even better, will come your way :).

you have a shot, now it's up to your essays and personal responses. i would prefer a higher SAT score in the 700s for each subject but it's decent.

Lol... I'm sorry, but marching band as a varsity sport just astounds me.

And I'd say don't worry, you'll get in. SAT's a little low, but your GPA is I think exactly the same as mine was when I applied ED, and to Stern.

I wouldn't recommend putting down any ECs that you did not really do. Those things have a way of coming back to haunt a person. I think the OP has enough great ECs and good grades and stuff to get into the College of Arts and Sciences, so why say you did something you didn't do?

Haha my stats, except for my SATs which were a little bit higher i think, weren't even as good as those and I got in RD. I think you'll be in almost definitely ED.

at least you were able to apply early decision though.

im in a family that doesn't make enough to be able to pay for NYU but makes too much to get financial aid......... so ED was out of the question. =/
