My dream college is definitely stanford. I’d don’t think I’ll get in though :(. This years salutatorian in my school is a genius and only got into UPenn and rejected from Stanford :S

“only got into Upenn”

UPenn is a great school

1) MIT (dream school, but alas, it’s only a dream. Not that I would be ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATED over rejection, but I would be slightly bitter for like two days.)
2) Caltech
3) Harvey Mudd/Pomona (I honestly can’t choose between the two, it’s too hard for now :P)
4) Swarthmore
5) UF
6) Williams

The top 3.5 probably aren’t going to change, and neither is 5. The rest I dunno yet.

This is ranked in preferred order:

HYPS
Columbia
UPenn Wharton/Huntsman
UC Berkeley Haas
MIT Sloan
NYU Stern
UT Austin McCombs Business Honors
Cornell
UCLA
USC Marshall
Delaware Honors (In-State)

Bleh, looks like I’ll have to cut down the list within the next two years.

^ Might I recommend UM-Ann Arbor’s Ross? It’s one of the best business schools and is right up there with Haas.

My mom says we’re gonna start visiting local schools next spring.

Random Facts About Me:

When I was in eighth grade, I wanted to go to UT Austin because they had Quidditch.

This year, I learned that Brown wasn’t a historically black college.

I’ve worked my butt off all this year, have earned a 4.0 GPA and 7/1000 class rank, took AP Calculus BC, and am currently taking General College Physics I/II and Introductory Chemistry at my local community college for dual-credit. I’ve started studying for SATs, preparing for the AMC 10/12, and plan to start my college essays and practicing for my interviews on the very first day of my sophomore year.

Currently dreaming (in order of desire):
MIT (gah gah gah I visited this summer all the way from Texas and I loved it so so so much)
Caltech
UC Berkeley
Stanford
Princeton (see MIT)
Columbia (see Princeton)
Rice (see Columbia)
UT Austin (see Rice; it’s a great institution, I honestly wouldn’t mind going here )

Just out of curiosity are you AA?

No, I’m not African American. I am Filipino. :P

And yes, I know that it is quite ridiculous that I thought Brown was a historically black college, but whatever. I’m not racist or anything like that, lol.

Lol that’s one of the funniest things I’ve heard in a while.

I did not even start thinking about college until the summer of my freshman year. I had a 3.5 GPA and then I realized what I wanted to do with my life. Then on after, I raised my GPA to a 3.8 and a 4.25; went from rank 70/350 to 8/376 (kids came to our school). I’ve improved so much! So yes, it is good to start early. If I had known what I wanted to do with my life, I probably would have a 3.9 GPA or something… Stupid freshman year haha.

I didn’t try very hard freshman year, but I was still able to maintain a 3.9 gpa. I had fun the whole year ;my brothers told me to enjoy it while it lasted, because the following years would be hell -_-

Mine was:
Freshman- 3.55
Sophomore- 3.88
Junio-4.00

Overall GPA: 3.81 :)

My weighted GPA is like 3.9 and I’m ranked somewhere around 40/475.

yeah i know, but stanford’s admission rate is cut in half so it’s definitely harder to get into Stanford than UPenn

My list (as of now):

MIT
Johns Hopkins
Dartmouth
Rice
Duke
University of Chicago
Washington University in St. Louis
Boston University

I need safeties!!!

I’d like to go to:

UCSD
UCSB
Stanford
Vassar
Puget Sound
Rice

And then the generic ones like Harvard, MIT, etc.

I have a 3.83. My class rank is also at borderline 10% (66 of 656). It irks me because my PE teachers just seem not to like me and give me B’s.

^UCSB is nicer than UCSD, my opinion. It’s so pretty :)

I forgot about that one! I need to add it :P

I always change my list haha. This is my new one (even though I’m graduating next year).
