<p>@hiroshima-i think u should opt for Collegeboard official guidebook for CR and writing as well maths but if u have time, go through the Math portions of barrons too.</p>

<p>@cicatrix:...haha those are the topics I m not attemping...its like there are 7 topics given out of which 2 are compulsory and four are options..I m avoiding both of those options!!....I would love to get my common app essay n a supplement essay reviewed from you...I will email you and then may b you can hav a look at it n give me a call...I always feel insecure about my writing unless others tell that its okay....and my essays are pretty short..common app essay is about 550 words...n supplement 300 words(suggested limit was 300 itself)....</p>
<p>I asked many ppl about how long should I write and they told me to not to exceed more than 600 words or so unless I am a terrifc writer....longs essays do not give a good 1st impression.</p>
<p>@cicatrix: essays...my only essay which has come out pretty well is the roommate one...all the rest are not good enough. and abt the visa, i asked a senior. Neither the ISFAA nor the CSS reaches the embassy in any way. so no worries.</p>

I too have some problems regarding ISFAA.
We should provide** bank balance certificate and **statement from employer to verify the income and asset information whatsoever....But what should be done to verify income from a private business (could be a firm, shop, counselling office,private auditing etc) or if we(parents) are ourselves employer ............Tax form is an idea tara its all lafda!!!So any alternatives??</p>

opt for official sat book. i found barrons quite vague and d scores in d practice test are VERY inconsistent..kaplan is also nice.</p>
<p>@ cicatrix, r u sending attested copies of ur SAT score reports or paying $9, (does stanford not accept attested copies) and i dont see the mailing labels for financial Aid forms...r u making ur own labels......very petty things(lol) but still asking!!!</p>
<p>@ILTI---------postmarked deadline means the last date u can send applications to the university--and MOST IMPORTANTLY it means that "the application packet should have labelled the date from that organization through which u have send it by their postmarke deadlines that is" if u have nov 15 postmark deadline ,u can go to the hulak or DHL ,any -----and they will printed a date in ur packet ------then it doesn't matter u though ur application reaches weeks later......" i have this sort of idea-----but i don't know am i wrong or wright.
