I know many of you have been accepted to college or are in the process of being accepted. What do you plan on majoring in? What career paths are you going down, what colleges have you been thinking about, etc.

After getting accepted just last week, I am pretty sure that I will be attending Boston College to major in Political Science. After I finish my undergrad, I hope to get into Columbia Law School or NYU School of Law.

Harvard College, concentrating in Biology and Political Science. I guess depending on which I’m more drawn to during college will dictate whether I try to go to Medical school, Public Health school, or Law school.

Pace university, majoring in Childhood Education and Childhood psychology. I plan on teaching and as im doing my teaching I will be persuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in child or adolescent psychology

I’m going to the University of Pittsburgh, major in Psychology, maybe with a double major in Cybersecurity. Then, I’m planning on getting a PhD in Psychology (not sure whether it’s going to be counseling or clinical yet), and getting certified in forensic psychology. Then, I’ll hopefully get a job in federal or state-level law enforcement.

I also don’t know where I’m going yet, but I’m really, really hoping for Georgetown. I’m planning to major in political science, earn a master’s degree in political management from GW, and work for political campaigns. I also want to work in the White House someday.

I’m pretty much decided on Pace. I don’t really know about my major yet. I’m thinking psych or biology. I know
I want to work with kids either way. Eventually, I want to become either a child psychologist or a pediatrician (maybe pediatric oncologist).

Hopefully northwestern! not sure about major but probably in pre-med track. oh and i want to do a gap year too and will be applying to a few gap year/ semester programs!! :)

CSU Sacramento–Electrical Engineering (Hear it’s great there even though the school is looked down upon as a whole, no need to go to an expensive one out of town)

And I’m going to try to pick up an internship at the Sacramento Municipal Utility District / job over the upcoming summer there if I can.

I don’t know where I’m going- but I’m sure it won’t be anywhere nearly as fancy as all the schools you guys are attending, although I am HOPING for Emory- but I do know that I want to major in English and double minor in creative writing and religious studies. Well, either religious studies or film studies or music performance or history. I really don’t know.

And what do I plan to do with all this? Be a poor novelist, of course! I’ll live in a crummy Manhattan apartment and kill roaches with a weathered copy of The Catcher in the Rye whilst struggling to make ends meet with the short stories I sell to The New Yorker. But eventually I’ll forge some kind of inside connection with someone at Penguin or one of those places and I’ll get a book published… :D

Trinity Lutheran College, major in Children, Youth, Family Studies, minor in Nonprofit Management & Leadership.

Trinty’s J-Terms are awesome. I’m hoping to do “Jesus & Surfing” in California in January 2014, and study abroad for at least one. The school requires (and pays for, if you have a 2.5+) one international J-Term.

Seniors in the CYFS major don’t take classes during their fall term. Instead, they take a full-time internship anywhere they can afford to live. I’d like to either work at a residential outdoor education program here in Oregon, or a nonprofit in New York City. Maybe the Disney College Program if I can convince the school it’s educational enough. Haha.

After college, I think I want to take one or two years and work through a program called Lutheran Volunteer Corps. My ideal placement is at ReconcilingWorks, an organization working to create welcoming Lutheran spaces for LGBTQ folks.

After that, is like to work at a nonprofit in New York City, or somewhere else big and bright. Haha.

Somewhere in there, I want a husband and a bunch of kids. Haha.

If everything goes as planned (even though it’s a stretch D:), I plan to attend Medill at Northwestern. My ultimate goal is to report for a major local market, and eventually a national network. But as of now, if I had to choose out of the 3 schools I’ve been accepted to, it’d be U of I… :o

I will likely double major in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics, and later go on and achieve a masters in Comp. Sci and become a software engineer working for a large firm. So far I have been accepted by Georgia Tech and deferred by MIT, and six more colleges still have not responded.

I do not know where I am going to college yet, really hoping that I will get into at least one of my reaches (Berkeley, UCLA, USC, Duke, UPenn). I want to major in Psychology, possibly a double major in Arabic or minor in AA studies.

After, I want go to medical school. I like the big city schools like Columbia or UPenn in order to become a psychiatrist. I am really trying to take things one step at a time though, so my main goal right now is to get into a great college.
