Got in UGA and Chicago so far… 6 schools left. Stanford is coming whenever, and hopefully I’ll have an acceptance or two on Tuesday?? HYP, Columbia, and Penn. crosses fingers

woa, someone actually applied to 20 places? CRAZY

(don’t really care anymore, I’ve got my school :])

It’s my turn to post…yay!
I am 5 for 7 so far:
Rejected:
Gtown (McDonough): Figured as much, it’s a pretty tough school to get into.

Waitlisted:
Lehigh (School of Business): Weird, considering some of the other schools I got accepted to had better business programs.

Accept/Deny:
Miami U-Ohio (Farmer): Not enough aid. Weird, as it was one of my safeties.
USC (Marshall): Decent aid, but a bit too far away from home for my PARENTS’ liking.
NYU (Stern): Not enough aid (15K Stern scholarship+loans, trying to hassle 30K), but I really wanted to go to Stern. :(

Accepted:
BC (Carroll): Holy ******* aid (40K); so generous. Its business school is pretty good, plus its pre-law advising isn’t half-bad either. Definitely on the top of my list for now.
UConn (School of Business): IS/best aid/honors program. Still waiting for the Special Law program.

Still need to be axed tomorrow for: the ivies
Harvard, Yale, Cornell (AEM), UPenn (Wharton)

I have a pretty good attitude about the whole process (would have liked for Gtown to accept me, but not sad whatsoever). If I don’t get in somewhere, it’s because I wasn’t what they were looking for. Getting ready for my economics contest tomorrow.

I’ll post for my daughter:

Accepted:
Mercer
Oglethorpe
Oxford College
Berry
Kennesaw State (the one and only state school)

Wait List:
Emory (knew this would happen because of her test scores which are good but just not good enough)

Mercer gave a good financial package but with a good bit of loans.
Berry was awesome with the financial package, but the location keeps her from continuing her volunteer work.
We really thought it would be Oglethorpe, but they are not willing to work with us on the financial end. We are too far off there to go.
Kennesaw State…well, this was only a last resort.

Oxford gave the most AMAZING financial package. We are just stunned by the turn of events. Now, she can attend the school that had been her dream all along.

Ok, so far…

Accepted:
Boston Uni
Clark
Duke
UVA
Williams

Waitlisted:
UChicago
Washington Uni in St. Louis

Rejected:
Amherst
Vanderbilt
NYU

Waiting:
9 others including 4 Ivies

I just want this whole thing to get over and done with. Stress like this can’t be good for you!

Accepted: Vanderbilt (TN), Claremont McKenna (CA), Grinnell (IA)
Waitlisted: Duke (NC), Colgate (NY), Washington U (MO), Georgetown (DC)
Rejected: Rice (TX)

Waiting on: Brown (RI), Cornell U (NY)

Ugh, effing waitlists. On the bright side, I only am rejected outright to one place so far. I guess that’s a plus, but literally all of my not-top choices are waitlists/rejects. I don’t even know why I applied to Vandy, and I didn’t really know much about CMC but wanted to apply to a good school someplace warm. Grinnell was local (and good & free). Waiting for my ivy rejections tonight. ■■■ <– okay, so maybe not completely that… but FMWL (Eff my waitlists)

ACT: 34
GPA: 3.92
Rank: 1/30
Fairly Strong to Strong ECs (lots of leadership–varsity soccer captain, SC president, sole school website administrator, among other things)
^^ Just to put me in perspective a little bit.

Just got accepted at UGA–waitlisted at Lewis and Clark

I got rejected from GW but got into Emory. GW’s rejection letter blew.

RGBASEBALL–I think UGA is getting like UNC–way easier to get in if you are in GA rather than OOS

Accepted: Vanderbilt (TN), Claremont McKenna (CA), Grinnell (IA)
Waitlisted: Duke (NC), Colgate (NY), Washington U (MO), Georgetown (DC)
Rejected: Rice (TX), Brown (RI), Cornell (NY)

I’m very happy that I got into CMC and Vandy… but I really would have liked to have a token Ivy acceptance just to say I did. Also, I wish I wouldn’t be waitlisted at a gazillion schools. URGH

Accepted: Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Tufts, Amherst College, BC, Bu

Waitlisted: Princeton, Brown

Rejected: None.

I am very happy.
