Class of 2013

hmmm... i'm not very particular about research... i prefer small schools myself... and the only big name is U chicago :) tats cos i really loved their essay prompts :D couldn't resist the temptation

I should have applied to more small schools.... took my chances with the big ones... didn't even look at the smaller ones... lazy bee whoops

well... i couldn't afford to be lazy :( not with my scores... man... i would've looked into atleast 200 schools :(

He is a smart lad and must have applied to at least one Ivy league :D

As for me, look at my list (and LOL if necessary):

Trinity U

Manhattanville C

Kalamazoo C

Gettysburg C

DePauw U

New names but old games: FINAID, FINAID, AND MORE FINAID! Ahh.

well..i can see where that comes from... i have applied to trinity u as well... n i ruled out kalamazoo and gettysburg only after long n lengthy deliberations ... with myself :) lol... i cant help thinking fin aid plays a very big role in the selection of our colleges :(

^ ohh yeah only reason I applied to Amherst, Yale & Harvard initially; I do like Amherst a lot more now, especially because of their essay prompt.
I don't stand a chance but 1. trying never hurts and 2. who knows?

yeah... no matter what the stats says... the optimist never dies ;)

2013, dream school Washington U. in st. louis. i finally got my ED btw. is there anyone also the WashU'13? i would love to talk to you and make friends even before school starts!

CONGRATS for getting in!!!!!

Congrats!!! y don u start a thread :) for intl wash u 13 ers... u might meet someone

I wish I had applied ED... life would be so good right now if I knew what was going on...

ha... i applied ed ii.. n i'm suffering from nerves big time :( i'l know only end of february

good luck./..................

wat about you qiusky?? decided upon colleges yet?

Qiusky will respond shortly. First..me (LOL).

I applied ED1 to Gettysburg and am in! That too on 100% FA! I wish each one of you also seriously considered ED1 bcoz it saves a lot of hassle and brings a lot of aid. I am ample prove if you need some.

PM if you want to know my stats but it was actually my ECs and essays that won it, I think :D

wow... congrats!! u must be really relieved right?? i'm glad i applied ed though.. its the waitin tat i can't take ;) :(

^ Thanks. And yeahh..I am quite relieved. Nobody likes waiting for the "waiting" but I am glad you chose ED. It's the best thing out there for us internationals with >70% financial need.

I just hope those reading this have applied or are applying ED somewhere too ;)

actually thats not true for all cases... loads of colleges hardly give out any aid for intls in ed... thats cos they prefer evaluating all the intls in one pool... looks lik gettysburg, dickinson are exceptions :)

^ That's true. I was referring to colleges that do let ED/EA for internationals with a lot of financial need. Colleges like Beloit (EA), Kalamazoo (not a lot of aid, though), Connecticut, Earlham (again..limited), Trinity C, Trinity U, Whitman, Lafayette and maybe Tufts.

congrats on getting in.

I almost wish I had applied ED or EA somewhere, but then I have been so quick to change my mind during the last few months about my top choice, so that ED wouldn't have been
the way to go. I like to have choices, doubt I'll have them though.

I applied to on Rolling Decisions School though, in late November. I hope to hear from them soon or in March. If I get rejected and find that out during my exams I'll probably fail them.
