hey tetrisfan, long time no see :D

Yo miraboo. How's it going?

Summer's going great! I haven't touched ANY of my homework :p

Haha that's brilliant :D.

First trimester of junior year will come to an end in a couple of weeks for me

You're almost done with your first trimester?! Wow, when did you start? Senior year for us is pretty much two terms because we have the last term off for exam leave :)

We started two months ago

hey, long time no see. I'm gettin frustrated with the large amount of school's works and my SAT is just in 2 months:((

How are u guys doing? I'm quite surprised to find out that most Col, which give fin-aid are Religious ones:(( Good or Bad news, huh?

Hey guys! I'm new to CC - I'm a class of 2013 from South Africa:) I see you guys were talking about SATs - You all seem to have done SO well! Did ANYONE get less than a 2100? Good luck in researching colleges!

I got less then 2100 :D But I'm definitely improving and taking the SAT again.

@tetrisfan: Oh right, so that means you'll be applying to college in your second trimester? Good, bad?

@lethi_phuongmai: Hang in there - you'll be fine! Have you started studying for the SAT yet? I have to start some summer homework soon and probably do some college essays because once school starts again in four weeks, I won't have any free time. And start studying for SAT IIs, the horror.

@mvogel: welcome :D Where in South Africa are you from? I had a friend who lived in Johannesburg but she's moved to Australia now, I think.

@flid: Congratulations on making it through the monstrosity that was the SAT! I hated EVERY minute of it. When are you taking it again?

I'm taking SATI in October and SAT II in November. And I have to take TOEFL in September (just to get it done, not very worried about that).
I kind of hate the SAT too.
I'm so worried about the next 4 months - it's going to be crazy.
But it's all worth it :)

I'll be applying to college in my second trimester NEXT YEAR (I'm 2014 :D)

Guys, don't sweat the SAT too much. All it takes is a calm, collected mind, basic knowledge of all the concepts tested, and a lot of practice (this is the most important thing).

miraboo: I'm from Durban, South Africa

Oops, totally forgot that you were 2014, tetrisfan :p I think I'll postpone my SAT IIs until November, October seems pretty early. I think the only reason I would take them that early would be so I could retake them twice if needed.

@mvogel: that's cool, I kind of know where that is... Not that I've ever been to South Africa! Hopefully in 2010 for the world cup :D I'm such a football nerd!

hi hi, thank you, miraboo. Btwm which school do you aim?

Sports nerds are cool :D

Everyone busy supporting their countries in the Olympics?

Yeah, an Indian won a gold today. Yay!

Yay. The world is a much better place now.

Has anyone else started their essays???? I have nooo idea what to write!
