I posted in response to Imonaboat??

my son received the waitlisted letter yesterday. he applied to CLA as his first choice and CEHD as second. I was wondering if anyone here waas accepted to CHED as thier second choice? I’m thinking now he would have been better off with his gpa 3.2and act 25 with CEHD as his first choice, I just seems like he might not have been looked at the same if it had been his first choice because I definately thought he would have gotten in at least to CHED. Thoughts?
Very disappointing for him and me. I have my BS in business and my family 3 brothers and my sister including my sister in laws attended the u for undergrad and all recieved their masters degrees from their as well.

Ahh that makes me nervous. Calc. is dragging me down. But, my second semester grade report should go: A: Advanced Comp. A: Gym. A- : Spanish 5. B: AP History B+: Advanced Bio. C- : AP Calc.

damn, airchompers. I have a 3.3 and 33 as well, still have to hear back from them.

I got the waitlist letter today.

3.5 GPA, 29 ACT, Top 45%, CA Resident

Did you have many ap or honor classes?

to which school did you apply? carlson by any chance?

also does anyone know the impact of being a minority? I am of asian (Indian) descent, and since the U has a relatively low percentage of minorities does this help my chances?
my stats aren’t so great, i have a 3.0 both w and uw and a 29 act with good E.C’s, many honors and 4 aps total (3 senior year)…what should i be expecting from carlson? i have the “carefully considered” status and have had it since the 19th…OOS

I don’t know if you guys were talking to me… but I had an all out AP schedule and 3 dual enrollment classes at Chapman University in first semester of this year. And I applied for Liberal Arts.

And gopherman, no offense but your chances for Carlson are looking kind of bleak =/

^ Yes, I was talking to you. I’m shocked you did not get in. Hopefully, you still will.
Best of luck to you.

^ I’m sorry. I have a feeling we will get that same letter. What does the site read?
