Class of 2014 Decisions Thread

Accepted to the Institute of Technology! No mention of honors on the status tracker, though… that’s strange, considering my 2400 SAT and 4.0 GPA with full IB courseload. Oh well, not a big deal.

December 11, 2009: Your application is being very carefully considered.
Is this the last stage? It just came out last Friday. May I expect a decision by this Friday?

I’m in the same position as tonyecc. My status tracker says the same thing. About how long does it take to get a decision once this status appears? I applied to CBS and if I get in I’d accept right away

So my status now says “Your application is being very carefully considered. .” I’m guessing they’re finally actually looking at it and close to a decision! I sent it in the 29th of September…

It took mine about 8 days to change to accepted.

My status still mentions about February etc…

Hi,

I ordered my SATS (from may last year) to be sent on December 5th. What are the chances they make it by the 15th priority deadline? Does anyone know of a way I can check?

Thanks

I was also surprised my daughter didn’t get any honors notification, considering her stats were in line with people on here who did. Not sure she would have done honors, anyway, but I wonder if it means she’s less likely to get merit money.

My LOL of the day is that the U of MN just sent my son an email saying “today is the deadline” even though he has already been admitted. They don’t miss any chance to remind students to apply.

To the questions above: notifications of University Honors Program and notifications of “merit” scholarships come out at all kinds of dates not particularly related to when someone applied or when someone was notified of admission. Don’t worry about it yet. The national reply date is 1 May 2010, and there is plenty of time before then to be sure what Minnesota’s complete package is and what other offers a student has received.

Good luck to all of you waiting for news.

Since the deadline was today should we starting seeing a lot more acceptances?

Hey guys, congrats to all who have been accepted!!!:))) I got a question. How long did it take for your status to change from “application is complete” to “your application is being very carefully considered”? And after that how long did it take to receive your decision???

Any info will be appreciated…
Thanks

Took me two months until my status changed to being very carefully considered.

Oh wow thats great, I’m still checking my application status.

No letter in the mail today. Tracker still says “being very carefully considered”

carlson!!

The tracker isn’t really up to date. Mine still says that and I got my acceptance today.

syjuhan. CBS is the hardest school to get into at the U, so I guess it is really good.
