My daughter applied to CLA on Dec 14th, and got her acceptance letter around Jan. 10th.

So…has anyone been rejected yet? I know this is a decisions thread, but after reading some of the pages, I haven’t seen any rejections.

I’m asking for my friend who desperately wants to go to Minnesota (it’s really not me, it really is a friend of mine, you don’t have to believe me but it’s the truth) and her stuff has been submitted in their records since mid-November. Her stats are lower than Minnesota’s, and she got rejected from Madison (they have the same acceptance rates). I know of a few other people waiting to hear, people with somewhat lower stats. Do you think Minnesota has waitlisted these people and might accept them before the end of February and that’s why they haven’t heard a decision? I’m just curious as to why it’s taking so long for her (and some others) to get a decision, when most everyone else has heard back.

I am in a similar boat. I applied to Carlson, and all of my materials were received by November 10th. I still haven’t heard back…28 ACT, 3.3 GPA(eek I know), plenty of ECs, WI resident, etc…It’s driving me crazy! I was also postponed at Madison, and just sent in my semester grades yesterday. Anyone know why it’s taking so long!!!

Finally (today) switched to “currently under review.”
Hopefully this means a letter is on it’s way.

^ Same. But it says NOTHING about “very carefully reviewing” as it has for some other people.

Mine says:

Your application is complete and is currently under review. Admission decisions are sent on a rolling basis. All students who submit complete applications by the December 15 priority deadline will receive their decisions by the end of February. Students whose complete applications are submitted after the December 15 priority deadline will be considered on a space-available basis after that time. .

Is this bad?

^
I suspect its not good news, most of the positive letters were your application is being seriously considered etc… I never heard of these new statuses until this month.

I also had the “Thank You For Applying All Your Materials have been… etc.”… Earlier today it changed to “Your application is currently under review”

I’m suspecting many students can start hearing back by mid Feb. as all decisions by priority date will be given by end of Feb.

A little nervous haha. I seriously hope this new status doesn’t mean we’re moving into the first round of rejections…

… I found that many people usually got their tracker changed on Thursday and hear the result at next Wednesday…

don’t know about it signaling a rejection CoolB… of course anything is possible but honestly with DSs stats, well it would be the only rejection he has received. I realize department is a consideration, and maybe not honors - but a regular acceptance. we shall see soon i think. I assume you are still waiting also?

To Coolbrezze: this status (currently under review) is the one before “your application is being very carefully considered” (it is the one you mean, right?). Mine change from currently to very carefully considered just few days ago so don’t worry, anything can happen.

Yeah mine just changed to “under review”.

I’m too nervous here haha.

Today it just changed to “currently under review”
stop worrying everyone I seriously doubt a rejection is based on the application auto answer saying “currently under review” instead of “currrently under very careful consideration…”

Me too, the status has just changed to “being very carefully considered”. Pray for good news…

Got my decision today. It starts with “Congratulations!..” Can’t be happier. Both I and my friend (international students from Vietnam) are admitted today.

Got in a while ago, just forgot to post stats:
CBS
UW GPA: 3.75ish
31 ACT
11 AP classes by graduation
Likely track to Finance/Actuarial Science

Mine changed to Carefully Considered today… hoping that this is a good sign! Has anyone gotten this but been rejected??

My application status has change so I’am excited to know that I will be hearing from the university soon but nervous not knowing what the decision will be. I also will hear from Illinois-UC this month.

I have two questions…

how do you know the major you’ve been accepted to?

&& are scholarships “first come first serve”?.. because I believe my OOS stats qualify me for atleast a little bit of money :). Specifically I was hoping for the national gold scholarship award… I’m a little worried that I won’t have any financial assistance at all :(
