[]Strengths: my essays, ECs, and ACT score
[]Weaknesses: GPA
[li]Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: i think i was waitlisted because i’m a really strong applicant, but i need a lot of money and washu isn’t so excited about that, generally. if i had been, say, #1 in my class then maybe they would have sprung for the $$, but sadly not.
[/li]

[/ul]General Comments: pretty over the waitlist, i thought i’d be rejected so this isn’t a huge loss, and i’ll definitely accept it and see what happens. congrats to everyone who got in!! good luck to those who didn’t

[/ul]Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Our school semester ended in late January… they probably didn’t see my bad grades.

[/ul]Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: ECs, scores/GPA, essay
[] Weaknesses: didn’t express enough interest?
[li] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I really have no idea. I thought my essay and my hook was very compelling. I won’t disclose the hook, but I’m sure it definitely piqued the adcoms interest - but perhaps in a negative way? Sorry this is so vague ( ; But I think that may have contributed to my being waitlisted. Hopefully other schools won’t think my essay and hook are too liberal/taboo.[/li][/ul]**General Comments: I’m definitely surprised that I wasn’t accepted, and really wish I knew why. But nonetheless, WashU isn’t my top choice. Still hurts to know that I’m not accepted - but I’ll get over it! ( : I have accepted to be put on the waitlist to keep my options open. Congrats to all accepted, good luck with other decisions to those rejected… and for my fellow waitlisters - don’t worry about it! Clearly you all are wonderful wonderful applicants - just know that April 1st and ivy decisions are right around the corner! **

[/ul]Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Leadership Positions, Showed A LOT of interest
[] Weaknesses: ACT Score, GPA
[li] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: First, I think I was accepted because of my involvement in my school. I hold a lot of leadership positions and work really hard to establish long-term affects on my school. Also, I showed a substantial amount of interest in WashU. I was an early decision applicant, and I was deferred. However, I kept in contact with my counselor by sending an update letter, and I think she really got a sense of who I was. When my college counselor visited the campus, my admissions counselor knew who I was and of my achievements. [/li][/ul]General Comments: I feel so incredibly happy! It’s a dream to be accepted! This is my first choice school! I’m definitely going!
