Class of 2014: WAITLISTED

I was waitllisted too and I did accept the Waitlist

my only question is this:

Does WashU reject an applicants? or do they only accept or waitlist???

Yes they reject applicants.

*******OMG last years thread*****
students who got waitlisted include----a *Princeton RD acceptee & a Stanford RD acceptee. Let’s take it as a sign

I thought I accepted my spot on the wait list, but when I went back to check it said

“You have decided not to accept a place on the wait list.”

I’m freaking out because I didn’t back out! Do you think emailing them and telling them to fix it will work?

How do you actually accept a spot on the wait list? Is this in the Pathway Online Account? or do you send a letter to them?

You look on the left side near the Decision Notification button, and it should say something about the Waitlist.

If it doesn’t, logout and then log back in.

Anyways, I see alot of people saying that if you’re on the waitlist, you don’t get any financial aid. Do you guys actually know what you’re talking about or what? (well, either way I’m gonna ask admissions)

bleh, tons of students from my school got waitlisted, including myself…

ghalla-

the same thing happened to me…i think we clicked the button twice but i emailed the person they gave to me…

In a month, we ought to make a thread where all of us that have been waitlisted at Wash U post where we got accepted to…just an idea.

Let’s all get on the whiskey!

waitlisted:

3.33UW, 3.84W
sat: 2160 (math 800, cr 660, w 700)
no interview, no on-campus visit

i don’t think i match up to you other would-be ivy-leaguers, and my stats seem much lower than that of a lot of the accepted and rejected students. point blank, i’m not sure how i even ended up on the waitlist.

I was admitted into Yale early action and placed on the waitlist for WashU. I’m hoping that it’s because I never requested an interview…

I was waitlisted for Wash U. as well
Stats:
33 ACT with a 35 combined english/writing
SAT II’s: 700 BIO and 710 Lit
3.77 unweighted, my school doesn’t rank students or have weighted grades, but I have taken 5 classes at the local Cal State in my intended major and have gotten A’s in all
I attend a top 20 school in the nation rankings
I have over 700 community service hours
I was captain of my varsity tennis team and have been a starter on the team for 4 years
I have already taken college classes in my intended major
I have won first place in the California State Science fair
And I have been professionally acting since grade school

I’m really sad that I got waitlisted though, I liked wash u :frowning: Does anyone happen to know how someone would improve their standings in the waitlist?

Waitlisted…

Stats:
SAT: 2360, ACT: 35, SAT IIs: 800, 760, 750
GPA: 3.97

good yatta yatta yatta… but what are you gonna do right? :c

LOL…I cant believe they waitlisted me…So far i’m accepted into Cornell, vanderbilt, and six other schools and would have chosen Cornell or Vanderbilt ahead on Washu anyway. They were like a safety. I quess they smelled the fact that I just wasn’t into them much anyway. The only thing that sucks is that they left me before I had the chance to tell them that I just wasn’t that interested, LOL. Did I accept a spot on the waitlist? HELL NO! Also I was given the Chancellors Scholarship at Vanderbilt…1 of the 42 kids who got that scholarship…So for many of you waitlisters, being waitlisted is not an indication of your qualification, its more that Washu have a complex that you wouldn’t choose them in the end, because their yield rate is extremely low. they have the nobody loves me for me complex…LOL.

OMG i can’t believe wash u waitlisted me. Its my SAFETY school!! i feel so insecure about my penn and chicago apps now :(

On the other hand, I’m still gonna send in my final results to them. I’ve taken on an internship at a multi-national company and community projects. How should I convey this message to them?

Thanks and good luck everyone!!

Anyone know how to not accept a place of the wait list?

TimeTravel…why would you put the #13 ranked University in the nation as your safety? Really?

forrealz ^

@An0nmity…WashU is a safety because its WashU.
