geosciences & engineering (I think putting engineering down was stupid, I don’t really want to do it and it probably confused them when they read it)

Geology :)

Engineering and Music

Human Biology
and then
Neuroscience

English - Sounds like it could be a good choice

Philosophy!

Is it easier to get in if you apply to something less competitive such as art history than if you apply for international relations?

U aren’t applying to the major^

I wouldn’t say it’s easier to get in because ALMOST every person I know at Brown has changed their major. However, they can have an idea of the field you’re looking to study (humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, etc) by your indicated major(s). Brown tries hard to get a good proportion of different intellectuals to attend the university. So, in that sense, your indicated major could POSSIBLY make a difference. However, it’s not a factor that you should be over thinking. If you’re genuinely passionate about a specific field, tell the admissions committee why. If you’re undecided, tell them why. There is no wrong answer.
