C’mon folks! I know Gonzaga admitted more than just my kid! Let’s hear from you all!
yes, still waiting to hear from a few more schools, but GU caught my S’s eye early on…loves the area—and it’s still a close plane ride to the Bay Area…

I just got my acceptance letter today!
I’m actually pretty excited. I also received a Regent Scholarship.
Gonzaga is my first letter that I have received other than out of state.

Still waiting on some other schools for a final decision but that hasn’t stopped my interest in learning more about the school.

My Son was just accepted at Gonzaga and in the Honors program at WSU. Did not apply at UW as he did not like it on his visit. Even with the good scholarship he received, Gonzaga will be substantially more than WSU. Although he liked Gonzaga better, I am concerned about the extra loans he (and I) will have to take out for him to go there (particularly since he wants to go to grad school eventually). What aspects make Gonzaga a better school? I know of WSUs party reputation but I know from experience that a student that works hard can get a good education at much worse schools than WSU. I am looking for some basis to compare the schools other than expense. Any advise would be appreciated.

My daughter got her letter on Monday and also received the Dean’s scholarship. I think I am more excited then her as Gonzaga is not her first choice. Hopefully she will agree to a spring trip to visit. Waiting to hear from other schools…I work with an attorney who is a Gonzaga grad … she raves about it.

I am happy for you and your son – and happy to hear how much he liked Gonzaga. I have a question – my son is interested in Gonzaga (love the Pacific NW, wants a school with a good balance of academics and athletics) but we are not Catholic or religious in any respect. He has attended a private liberal college prep high school and I am wondering if he will feel left out.
