Was disappointed that not even WL at Dartmouth or Pomona, and only WL at Swattie (and Kenyon-can’t figure that one out), but all that evaporated when my dream school (Stanford) said yes. Advice to others: your essays appear to count heavily at Stanford and Williams, since that’s the only reason I can imagine that Stanford & Williams said yes when so many others (esp. Dartmouth, which has no chance to provide supplemental essay) said no.</p>

<p>Reason for choosing USC over Harvard/Yale/Stanford et al - because I’ve gone for the college that, after giving it lots of thought, I feel is the better fit for me. I’m not going to go to a college just because of the name, I want to go somewhere I know I’ll be happy, and for me I believe that will be USC.</p>
