I feel like I got an UNLIKELY e-mail, if such things exist. It just very dispassionately told me when to expect the decision via e-mail (March 29th at 8pm). I’m freaking out; it’s a high reach for me, but I’d really like to go to Conn.

Everyone got that email.

Connecticut is my last hope. How do you get likely’s and all that?

I didn’t get anything except the email telling me that the decision will be available on tuesday…how do you get the likely and unlikely and all that?

@ctc414 “Connecticut is my last hope.”

If this is true, I wish you the best. However, if this is true you need to get working on some other alternatives such as colleges with rolling applications, community colleges with the intention of transferring next year, etc. Hopefully you do have at least one acceptance somewhere.

DD also got the basic letter saying decison will be available Tuesday. For those of you accepted or with a dd/ds accepted, was Connecticut college a reach school? Do any of you care to post stats? DD is so nervous. She has 4 acceptances and 2 waitlists so far, but Connecticut is her first choice. I am scared for her.

If your D has 4 acceptances in hand there is little to worry about. She may or may not get an acceptance at Conn but she will still be fine. She should know in 2 days. Good luck.

To all who are concerned, this is the beginning of the letter:

"Dear Accepted Student!

Congratulations on the impressive academic and personal credentials you demonstrated in your application. You should anticipate receiving a formal acceptance letter from the Office of Admission within the next week. Today, however, I write to invite you to “preview” life at Connecticut College by visiting campus through the Spring Preview Program, a program for students representing diverse ethnic, racial and socioeconomic backgrounds and those interested in issues of diversity. "

Conn College was not necessarily a reach, but by no means a safety and is one of my top choices. I emailed the school about the Likely Letter, and found out that it is just the school’s way of reaching out to students who self-identify themselves as a minority. I do not believe that I was accepted because of my native american heritage, just notified early in attempt to spark interest.

emah24, Here are my stats

CR: 620
M: 670
W: 690

ACT:29

3.6 UW GPA, 3.7 Weighted

You received your acceptance letter already from Conn College?

oh my God…5 more hours of waiting

How have people already gotten accepted if they applied RD? I thought the
decisions weren’t coming out until today?!

No news yet!

just login to your conn coll account and the decision link is there

Is anyone else unable to load the login page?

@SaintSaens i am unable to too! ahhhh:(

official email just came looks like they shut the other link down…sorry about that

ya, their servers probably aren’t prepared to handle this much traffic.

Now it works. I’m in.

How lucky and convenient for me to spot the “View your letter” link in my portal BEFORE they send the official email and find out that I was rejected :)). At least this way I don’t have to wait so long for unpleasant news.

The link isn’t working yet for me either. I imagine they’re getting too much web traffic; it should work within the hour, surely.
