Class of 2015: College Lists

Harvard (SCEA)

Yale

Stanford

Northwestern

Georgetown

UC Berkeley

UCLA

UC Davis

New list (short but sweet):

 1. UNC
 2. UVA
 3. UGA
 4. Bama Honors
 5. UF (in-state)

Since I’m more than happy with my last two, both safeties, why apply to a ton of colleges?

And already done with the two common app colleges and their essays

I tried to make a short balanced list. It’s short, but not so balanced . Might change after I go on visits next week.

Penn
SUNY Binghamton (in-state)
Carnegie Mellon
Brown
UConn
Temple
WPI

Mine changed slightly from what I posted before:

Carnegie Mellon University
Iowa State University
Milwaukee School of Engineering
MIT
CalTech
Case Western Reserve University
Bradley University
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
Kettering University

Marquette University (maybe…I’m not really religious so I feel like I may not enjoy some of the classes they’ll make me take)

Any advice? I want to shorter my list by maybe one or two. Marquette is most likely to go, but I haven’t visited to know if it’s a good match or not.

Not final list, will probably change it a lot in the upcoming days but as of now, in order of preference:

1) MIT (lol I wish)
2) Drexel University
3) Northeastern University
4) UMass Amherst
5) Cal poly SLO
6) Ohio State
7) NJIT (in state, safety)

Considering:

Rice, Cornell (just dont know if they would be worth it tbh)

chance me please? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1674376-i-really-need-help-please.html#latest

umich
texas a&m
university of colorado at boulder
university of minnesota
university of cincinnati

UC Berkeley
UC Los Angeles
UC Davis
UC Irvine
UC Santa Cruz
UC San Diego
University of the Pacific
And perhaps a couple unrealistic reach private schools.

Updated list in order of preference (But now that seems quite a bit hard to do)

I think I’m going to not use the ordered number list because it is really hard to do that

First Choice
-UChicago

Schools I would really really like to attend
-MIT
-Harvard
-Reed
-Carleton
-Cornell

Schools I would be very happy attending
-Carnegie Mellon University
-Boston University
-Northeastern University

Schools I would be pretty happy with attending
-Brandeis University
-University of Rochester
-University of Minnesota at Twin Cities
-Boston College
-Stony Brook University

I think this might be my final list, as I would be very happy to attend any of the schools on my list. If I had to take two off the list, it would be Boston College and University of Rochester.

I think this will be my final list, in no particular order.

UVA (EA)

Princeton (EA)

Penn

Boston U

Northeastern

American

Franklin and Marshall

Washington and Lee

Tulane

U of Minnesota

George Mason

Seattle University

U of Alaska Anchorage

In no particular order:

1) Amherst
2) Oberlin
3) Williams
4) Middlebury
5) Smith
6) UVA
7) William & Mary

(may throw in one or two more, I’m not sure.)

Final list (I think/hope):

William and Mary (ED)

UVA (EA)

Alabama

After looking at so many schools, it’s weird to think how I’ll only be applying to three, but I like these the best and there’s no sense on wasting money applying to other schools when I’d be happy at any of these. So yeah.

My original list -
UCSD, UCB, UCSB
USC
Occidental
Rice
Northwestern
Tufts
UMiami
UFlorida
Penn State

My final list -
Stanford
UCB, UCLA, UCSD
USC
Tufts
University of Pittsburgh

Funny how things changed

Not 100% sure of my list, but here are the schools I’m expecting to apply to or thinking about applying to:

Georgetown (EA)
Boston College (EA)
Fordham (EA)
Northeastern (EA)
UChicago (EA)
Penn
Harvard
Brown

I’m visiting Harvard, Yale, Brown, Northeastern, and BC this weekend, so my list may change after that.

not 100%yet but this is what i’m thinking in order of preference
wustl
case(ppsp)
penn
northwestern
denison
university of cincinnati
osu
indiana

Made a slight tweak to my list. I don’t think I’ll be adding any more schools; if there are any future adjustments to this list, it will be via subtraction:

Penn State University Park

University of Delaware (honors)

University of Maryland College Park

Rutgers

Millersville University

Had to cut Miami because there was no chance I could even visit the school, much less travel 1200 miles to go to school there.

Not going to point out anyone specifically, but there are a couple lists here that don’t appear to have anything near a safety on them. Just a small reminder to apply to at least one safety… Applying to a lower calibre school doesn’t mean that you’re less smart - if anything, it means that you’re even smarter.

^ @RoseOak3918‌

But I’m adding UMiami to my list since it’s only about four hours away and has no supplement, plus chance of merit. So, my list is (in order of likelihood):

 1. Alabama
 2. Florida
 3. Miami
 4. North Carolina
 5. Georgia
 6. Virginia

Boston University ED

Tulane

Brandeis

Binghamton

SUNY Albany

Muhlenberg

SUNY New Paltz

^my list

My list although I’m 99% locked in on Bama…
Alabama
UNC
UMiami
UVa
Purdue

princeton
community college
