Class of 2015 ED

TheDad, yep thanks for the advice. I’ve written so many admissions essays over the last few weeks (and read through even more of them for my friends’ and all) that I just need a couple more weeks to really make sure that I didn’t do anything incredibly stupid and put my mind at ease. :)

LOL, yeah, essay total immersion. I remember that period.

Does anyone know when the decisions will be posted on Bannerweb for Fall Early Decision? Is it all at once for all applicants or on a student by student basis as they decide? Thanks!

It’s all at once for all applicants. The decisions will go up on the same day as they mail out decisions, which is usually around Dec. 15th, though somewhere on the website it will probably tell you when exactly. It’s always on a Friday, and if I remember correctly the decisions go up in the evening, at close of business in Northampton.

Based upon SmithieandProud’s post, is it correct to assume that ED I admission decisions will be posted on BannerWeb on Friday, December 10, 2010 after 5:00 P.M? I know that last year the 2009 ED I decisions were posted on Friday, December 11, 2009.

I wouldn’t make any assumptions, I would either check with the admissions office via email or check the website.

Oh god really? I was expecting like… December 17.

Haha I almost had a nervous break in the middle of AP Stats today because I got bored and somehow made up/calculated all of these percentages proving that I was not getting into Smith and if I did I would not receive any financial aid and my guidance counselor would hate me and blacklist me from life.

No clue where the numbers came from, I just looked down at one point and realized I’d been re-expressing data. I looked at some of the list names, and the most notable were L1= GOOD NESS SCORE. L2= ACCEPTANCE.

Hahaha clearly I’m not applying to Smith for math, because acceptance isn’t even quantitative.

yeah a family friend is an admissions officer (not at smith, but at a small liberal arts school), and she thinks it’s highly likely we’ll be finding out next friday
good luck everyone:)

@rorygil, I LOVEEEEEEE your username! I’m a huge Gilmore Girls fanatic!

Ahhhh I am so nervous! Basically in about two weeks at the most we will all know!

EDII applicants - has anyone gotten their BannerWeb login information??

EDI applicants-
I just called the admissions office and the receptionist said admission decisions will go out December 10th (Friday). So that is the official answer, I know there had been some speculation.

ughhh, thats sooo nerveracking to think about!!! its only 3 days away!!

jmigs720—Thanks for checking on that.

Do you guys think they’ll be up Friday morning or Friday evening?

They’ll definitely be up in the evening. I think around 5 PM.

OMG I’m so nervous now!!
I can’t write any more application essays !!!
Bestest luck to everyone applying early to Smith!
Hope we get to meet at Northampton next fall! =)

P.S. I’m from China.

Good luck to you too bazinga!! I hope you to see you next fall as well :)

You guys are so lucky to find out so soon – I wish I could have applied ED! Good luck to all. I agree, it’d be awesome to see everyone in NoHo next fall. :]

Good Luck everyone. I told my daughter to call me from school when she finds out. We are in the Midwest so she should be able to check around 4pm our time. It’s a good day.
