Class of 2015 from Nepal

hey ROCKHARDABS, why are we telling all this stuff? its not out job to try and convince anybody, is it? lets keep our experiences to ourselves and let everybody do what they want. reading these posts is ****in me off!!

^^^ yeah… I think I agree with you… No more words from my side… Ahm, next year hopefully, I’ll come up with a book about my experience of the admissions process…Read it then… Best of luck, all you guys…

NOTHING can make up for your average transcript/scores, not even great ECs. But then again, don’t you think that for the Class of 2015, this whole talk about ECAs is pretty redundant? I mean most of you here are going to be done with grade 12 pretty soon; so, if you wanted to, you should already be done with most of your HS ECs anyway. As for whether or not you should participate in ECs after the school then tell me one thing: what do you plan on doing in the time after the school? just stay at home preparing for SAT and writing essays? Won’t you get bored? So, even if you don’t do stuff for the app., just do something to preserve your sanity during the months you stay at home. :)

yup…@pinkfloyd…now start listening to these experienced guys…

@all Like I said earlier, this is just my personal opinion. And i didnt mean to discourage anyone, as im just a NOOB! I don’t know anything!!..YET! So i apologize if i offended anyone.

is cc just for discussions regarding ECs…???

@sixstringsrocker…rockharabs
i agree with u people…
keep ur things with urself if no one is going to listen to u…
and ECs…i guess everyone here is in the final year of their intermediate studies…so those things shud have been done way before the talks abt ECs started…
anyways…can we focus on anything else now???

it feels like we are trying to earn a PhD on ECs…

come on guys focus out from ECs…lets talk abt the application process,safeties…and others…

can someone give me the list of top-notch colleges and universities with early action(non-binding) plan???

Bard : Early action - not restrictive

@pinkfloyd4life
doesnt bard restrict while applyin in ed??can we decide whether to go to bard or not even if we got admitted to it??
what about others…suppose we apply to another top notch colz besides bard, does that top notch allows us to apply to it n bard at the same time??

Bard doesnot offer scholarships to internationals in Early Action… See… these are the things you should look for carefully when sift through college websites…Its clearly written there…

All financial aid-seeking international applicants apply RD in Bard.

are all EDs binding? I mean what if you get into a school in ED, and they dont provide u sufficient aid, and you wanna try other colleges? Can you say that you dont wanna apply there and apply somewhere else??

^^i typed so long answer for u but my computer suddenly crashed…

all EDs are BINDING…
but to a certain extent…

if u are accepted by a college under ED plan but u are not satisfied with the aid, u can always kick the college’s a**

try to ED to a place where u have faith in…a college u would really love to go to…a college that has become like your nearest friend…ED is not just abt high SATs…good aid…full ride…its abt emotions too…its like applying to a place which u really believe is made for you…so take care abt ED…

lol…okay hewo pple, so temme smthng about applying in spring or fall,like options open to it…or which is better…

" ol…okay hewo pple, so temme smthng " Which planet you hail from is? Me is from Earth is… Jadooo is…

@ confidential2015> it wasnt negative dude, and besides, you lose the sense sometimes when you type instead of speak: happens a lot during chatting.

@hewocreep> imo, fall would be a lot better. Fall is the start of academic year but spring is the middle of academic year. Many colleges offer admission only in the fall and very very rarely does one get full ride in the spring or even a decent financial aid package. correct me if I am wrong guys. you are from Earth, arent you? i watched Avatar just a few hours ago and it’s still on me mind…hehe

which months are the fall and spring?

August heralds fall and January heralds spring…correct me if being me wrong is…

yeah okay @sixstringsrocker thanx…earthling ;)

how many guys r takin which sat2 xams???
