@davidv and ripley
Check your mail box guys.Enjoy!!!

Yeah davidv I too found out about the CSS fee waiver on the collegeboard’s website.They have not written about the amount but they say that the CSS fee may be waived if income of the applicant is really less(how much is still a mystery).And not sure that gonna work for the international students too.

Thanks a lot for your help Rockeroncc. yeah according to my info. it is applicable for international students but donot know what is the income range. i guess we should try to contact the collegeboard for the info…

@2014
bro r u class of 2014 or 2015?
im keen on 'ed’ing there

how many here prefer to do ed2?

hey guys!!! can u tell me about which topic do we need to write in PE???

@ mearies
There is no fixed topic on which you need to write the PE.It differs from person to person.Write on that topic which best sets you apart from all others and lets the ad com to best understand you(in a good way).

how to study sat vocabs?mugging up all those words?if yes how many words?and from what book shall i practise maths for sat except that of barrons???help me out friends

@metallica i am practising form college board sat i think it’s good too!!!but i just started on it!!

and what does it mean by the essay topic in common application???

@mearies
i think ur talking abt the PE topics , u r suppose to choose one of the topics n show ur worth as a potential admit…choose one n elaborate .

there r 3 essays to be done in the common apps(correct me if im wrong) -1.PE 2.ECAs essay 3.colz supps, n ithink ur talking abt PE where topics r given

im thinking of ed ing to a top notch colz(probably ivy)…anyone knows abt where to apply ed if one has grt ECAs to back up?

how many words probably for the sat vocabs?my exam is on oct 9 n iv done nth with d cr section…can i cover up all these stuffs??

the myth has always been to get 3000-3500 words into ur psyche but believe me this wont help u even a bit…this topic has come up many times, best thing to do-PRACTICE!!! practice big time…furthermore, read editorials,novels…

@prasadian
and will i b able to cover up all the stuffs bcoz iv done nth with cr…bt im damn confident with my maths…so can i do well wid cr??

@metallica999
Myan I too am having the same sat on the same day and I havenot started anything.I will start practicing after I finish my TOEFL this saturday.And about the book I will not suggest you to read from the Barron’s book.That book is too loud meaning very hard than what actually appears on the test.Best advice for you will be finding out someone who has the official sat book(the Blue Book i guess)and practice from their.And yes you can cover all the stuffs if you work hard.

@rockeroncc…
oh im pretty much confident now bcoz im not d only one who hasnt done nething…so im planning to do finish d entire math within 7 days frm bb and may b frm pr…so after that gradually with d vocabs,cr and writing sections

AT the guys above talking about SAT: I think mugging up words dont help for SAT. talking about me last year i had mugged up almost 2000 words but not even a single word appeared in the Test( and yes the words were from barrons book) so better use kaplan or nova’s one (this is my view it may differ with others)… however try using the words not mugging it up.

Regarding the CSS fee waiver, I was wrong previously. according to our college counselor, it is just applicable for US students and not for international students. but however if the college agrees we can request to send ISFAA stating our financial status but if the college denies there is no way out.
