And by the way, which Math would you guys prefer for the SAT 2 Math test? Math 1 or Math 2?

@chalice
I would prefer Math2(and I am giving that with Physics).But I don’t think giving either of the test will give you an extra edge as both are viewed the same way though Math2 is quite advanced as I have heard(not sure though).Give what ever you think you can do better in.

I did not study Science in my Highschool, which subject tests do you guys reccommend and how difficult is it? Do adcoms think we took the easy way out if we give math 1 and not math 2?Help me out with this.

@cheche
As I have already said they do not have have preference over any of the two tests.Give that one in which you can score high.For the subjects your wish.I have no idea for that.

I think Math 1 has got more difficult scoring curves and plus it is claime to be easier. So a 740 in Math I will defenetly look bad than a 740 in Math II . If you come from science background in +2 or have studied maths (Whole A-level) in A-levels then a bit of practise and SAT II wont be difficult. I would strongly suggest Maths II. If you are looking for technical school then I think they prefer Math II over Math I. Someone please correct me f I am wrong in anything.
The curves are so generous in SAT II that even if someone gets every question wrong on the Mathematics Level 2 test, he/she might receive a score of around 310; it all depends on the version of the test.

I didnt see the non-science background. I would recommend English Literature, World History and Mathematics or any other language if you have an understanding of.

can someone explain me abt getting into honors program?

… and still my question about the ISFAA filling remains unanswered!!!
Is it like no one is familiar with the income certification or not interested. Cmon guys I just need a help in that topic… stuck with the certification thing other everything completed… plz help me out.

@Chandalsaitan… lol, i haven’t even started it so i am no help!

^^^same here…

hey Rockeroncc : cu’d u plz explain the process?? how can we create alternate apps??

@chandalistan : If you list your income from business (or family business) then there is something called Business / Farm Supplement (I didnt use it and a friend of mine told about it but he also didnt list business as income so someone else might elaborate more on it)
Else, If you list your income from Salary of Father and/or Mother, then a certificate from the company or office they work stating thier salaries (preferably in Dollars) will be fine.

@1a2b3c : The question isnt directed to me but regardless I am answering. Hope Rockeroncc wont mind. If you are talking abt the alternate apps in CommonApp.
You need to submit an application first. After which you can create the alternate versions. You can edit all information in your alternate version and you can create upto 10 different versions. Chek this link out, It will not only create your but also of all other people who have any confusion about it. https://www.commonapp.org/CommonApp/Docs/AlternateVersionTechnologyFAQ.pdf

@1a2b3c
I guess you got your answer.And for the sat essays I guess you need to practice writing some of them and check out [SparkNotes: Today’s Most Popular Study Guides](http://www.sparknotes.com).I guess that will help you a lot.

@chandal
You can get the business farm supplement from [College Admissions - SAT - University & College Search Tool](http://www.collegeboard.com) if I am not wrong.

The link for Farm supplement, <a href=“Home | Financial Aid”>Home | Financial Aid;
As mentioned by me during the discussions about ISFAA and COF long time back, this is the Farm Supplement for academic year 2010-2011 and I am not sure this is the exact version you will be requiring.

I’m still not sure whether we can send the SAT II scores after the ED I deadline. I’m (hopefully all the interested ones, too) planning to take it on Nov 6, and as the scores won’t be out before the deadline, I fear the adcoms won’t be considering the scores when they arrive. any assurances???

@ hendirx7, the best suggestion i can give u is mail the colleges at their admission mailing addresses which will surely be on their websites. i did that. i was thinking about stanford then so i mailed them and they said that i could send the scores but they can’t guarantee that they will see it so i didn’t want to risk it. however when i mailed to swarthmore asking if i should do ‘rush reporting’ (an option provided by collegeboard which will send the scores 2 days after the score comes out and the score comes out 3 weeks after u give the test), they said that i should. this was because stanford’s ED deadline is nov 1 but swarthmore’s is nov 15th so maybe that’s why they considered rush reporting when stanford gave a bleak, unhelpful answer

Well, you cant be totally sure they wont consider it. In commonApp mention the date (November 6) as the intended date you will be taking your test also inform the admission office. If they wont consider it at all they will inform you. Your test results will be out on Nov 25 and it will reach collges by december 1 by mail. Inform the colleges as soon as you recieve the scores and also email a scanned copy of the attested printed result from the web (as soon as it comes out). If your file is strong otherwise then they will sure have time to have look at it.
