oh sorry guys i forgot another thing
I refered to few colleges that said there is no fin aid for international students if they apply in ED and very low chances in RA. What can be done? i mean aplying in a RA definitely decreases your chances but why ED?? is it a policy or what?

hey people, who is planning to apply to grinnell this year?

someone from any of u??
how many from BNKS,RBS,SXC…and others…

let me know…

@confidential2015
which grinnell r u talkin about??

@confidential2015
if its grinnell colz then i have heard its not that tough to get in
n if ur talkin about university then… depends but not in ED there, maybe RA…
my cc name indicates where im from ( n probably the ONLY one!!!)

how many here prefer harvy mudd n rose-hulman over the top notches besides ivians??
seniors i need infos on the 2 if any of u have …

@Prasadian
i was talking abt grinnell colz…the liberal arts one…

@prasadian
harvy mudd i m interested but referred to its site and found out in ED we dont get any fin aid and RA ma ta its really competitive but still will be applying… n rose hulman havent researched yet

@ prasadian
I too am interested in HMC for RD probably but roes hulman ???

thats rose hulman dude…LOL…anyways it too is good one bro…just do a little bit more research on that one… u might wanna go for it…

any more infos on rose-hulman n hmc???
i heard thers a nepali guy who got into hmc …dying to know about hios/her aid detail

guys!!!CS at Rose Hulman is great, but the sad part is that they don’t provide aid to internationals

@Prasadian
Man!!!Its hard to get into Grinnell. They usually don’t accept Nepalese in ED but from what ive heard, they do have a quota for a candidate from Nepal in RD. Not sure though. There was one student from BNKS who got into Grinnell about 3 years ago.

and talking about mudd…it is the toughest liberal arts college to get into…solely focused on science (physical) rather than liberal arts…they aint gonna accept you until you have perfect SATs and GPA…moreover they are interested in geeks…the ones who are busy with robotics…hehe

there was one candidate from Gandaki boarding school, i think it was 2 years ago… she got into Harvard, Harvey Mudd and Mt Holyoke all at the same time…so she goes to Harvard…and this year i ve heard that a girl from SXC got into harvey mudd and she had astounding stats!!!

i may screw up her stats somewhat but i think it goes like this
SAT 1 - 2250
Subject test - Nearly perfect score
80%+
Rank 1

being a girl + talented + awesome stats = powerful combination… so all you guys…I think you should resort to getting a plastic surgery done if nothing else works!

@puspa kamal
Her Stats:
2250 SAT
86% ISc
SXC
Nepal Topper…ISc

look at that stat!!!
hmmm…(thinks)
yeah i will hope for that sat thing but that topper??? well lets not go that far…LOL
@rockhardabs
you too going for plastic surgery!!! being ramdev fan?? cmon invent some yoga for it too…LOL ( no hard feelings ha)
HMC my dream… lets hope i can get in too…(without plastic surgery though)LOL

^^^^^
Yeah 86%…Hats off to her…

Class of 2015:
Guys, focus on college search…spend your time. I prefer an excellent college search mind first. So, just focus on the particular type of discussion and don’t go out of the way. Thats it.

UT Austin ma Aaunus!

Yes, probably just as important as writing good essays is selecting good colleges to apply to. So spend some time on it and don’t get too carried away with the colleges either. BTW, this would be the perfect time to start looking for safeties as well.

2014 is right …we shouldnt divert from what we r here for…

I read each and every posts in this thread. Someone had asked about the importance of SAT SUBJECT TEST…SAT2 I mean. I just want to tell him that if i hadn’t got excellent SAT2, I would not have been where I am now. Competition is very tough…so, if possible, do take the test. It will be very helpful for u to apply to colleges like Colby, Trinity College, Connecticut where we have option to send atleast one Standarized Test.
