Hope it helps all…

thanks dude! and don’t mind for what happened…s**t happens man…

all the guys here must have read the “essays that worked” on the connecticut college’s website. those essays fairly exceed the word count and still they worked. any explanations for this unusual phenomena???

just wirte ur best…word count doesnt matters much unless u write a novel in the name of essay then ur in problem…present the content in a fine manner…

sorry… would you please make it more clear what you want to say…

when will the ED results be out… approximation would do no harm.
cheers!

@leadingsunil
by novel i meant ONLY the length…bottomline: if u have a really moving essay, length doesnt matter much but keep in mind not to overwrite coz when u enlongate ur story, it may bore ur adcom reading it…of course if ur story is very interesting throughout then thats another thing but normally long essays may have more mistakes(vocab n gramatical) n the story may lose charm …remember they have loads of other stuff to take care of n u dont wanna bore them with loooong essays
@tele01
another 01…haha
cool yaar
normally dec15 is ‘THE DAY’ for ed’ers…if not dec15 then around that 1-2 days…

its also dec15 coz colz give time for rejected applicants to try out in RD…15 days to apply for RD is quite suffice…

@prasadian
thanks dude.

will the toefl score of just 94 be okay to apply for a scholarship or should i take it again…guys give me suggestion i still have the time to give it…and best of luck to all the people who are taking SAT this october

a score of 94 isn’t bad. check the sites of colleges and/or unis coz all of them have different min requirements. for example: u’d do fine if u’re applying to lehigh because the min there is 85 but then if u plan to apply to top notch unis like bucknell, joh hopkins etc, the min there is 100. so it all depends on where u plan to go to.

@s2015a
Please check our previous postings you will get the whole picture.

hey guys, i heard that if you are applying for ED in Nov 15 or DEC 15 we won’t be able to apply for early action…is that true?
We can’t do both EA and ED? Just one of them?
Someone from rbs told me this and i was surprised, is it too obvious or none of you knew it?
I heard It is so because of common app form pattern.

and yeah… whats an IS? What do i need besides:
1-recos
2-transcripts
3-cv,personal essay
(these three can be sent through mail right?)
and beyond these i need a bank statement which is just to fill IFSAA? and this is different from what i prepare for visa application?
Guys, i became confused after reading the posts…could one of you clearly mention?
thanks

if someone told it just because of the commonapp form structure then its a stupid thing…
didn’t u ask the person abt those who send the paper application???
i guess the person u talked to was talking just abt online app…even if your fren was talking abt online app,i don’t think there will be a problem…u are the first person from whom i have heard abt this thing…
anyone…who also knows abt this thing? I don’t think that creates any problem at all…

@cheche

you CAN ED and EA at the same time.
It’s just that if you get in ED, you can’t normally go into the EA college.

But again, check with the college you are applying to if the ED is restrictive in any way.

A guy (from US) applied ED to UPenn, and EA to Caltech and MIT. He got in all 3 of them, but he had to go to UPenn. He did confess that he wanted MIT real bad. xD

@cheche
IS is an international supplement…check out the form n u’ll get the idea…
as sarbaraj101 said u can ea n ed at the same time…only if the colz u r ed’ing has a restrictive ED then u cant EA elsewhere…eg brown…
some ED r restrictive to EA at other colz n some ED r not…its a simple thing check out colzboard…

@cheche : IS is International Supplement (If thats what you meant) which your counsellor is supposed to send.

“What do i need besides:
1-recos
2-transcripts
3-cv,personal essay
(these three can be sent through mail right?)”

I didnt get you here. You need a LOT of other things as well. And if you are planning to submit your part of application online, then personal essay is submitted as well (Online). WHile for the rest of the things you can send them via mail.
