@cheche
do u intend on sending forms online?? if yes, the PE and supps also have to be sent online

hey people, do any one of you know the kind of financial aid provided by colleges to us nepalese students by these unis:
villanova uni
bucknell uni
lehigh uni
any kind of info would help. i really need to complete the college list for the free score reports for SAT I and i am very confused as to which colleges to send the scores to. i know whom to send SAT II scores to because that allows us to send SAT I scores as well so i’m looking for colleges which wouldn’t mind getting SAT I score(s) only. thanks in advance!

guys, even i thought we could do ED and EA both together. Except in colleges like yale where it’s restrictive.But rbs guidance counsellor told one of its student that its not possible to do so?what the heck?

My question was that if i send everything online will i be able to send everything through it even the transcripits IS and financial aid forms? or even if i do go for online process i will have to send some part of my app through mails(hardcopies?)

lehigh gives as much as you want…

^

but they seem to have quite limited aid available for internationals.

^almost all the colleges say that they have limited aid for internationals…even IVY league colleges would not say that they have all the money we want…
but lehigh gives aid hai…sure…very good aid!

I remember that last year there were two pages on the International Supplement form,
but this year when I downloaded one there is just a single page,??
can anyone here give me a proper explanation?

@cheche…if the college u are applying to agrees, you can send everything(means EVERYTHING) online…you just need to ask ur GC to attest those documents, scan them and upload them. ONLY IF THE COLLEGE AGREES!
If you can make them agree to do it…u’ll save a lot of money!haha…

guyz…this thread’s for class 2015…gr8…

M planin to apply to LEHIGH coz its my 1st choice.I will apply either EDI or EDII.

Do u think I have a chance in Lehigh? i think i do have a very unique and above than average essay.But m afraid of my SAT scores…

plz help me and how can i increase may chances at Lehigh & Trinity…

PLEASE CHANCE ME

@cheche
"no u can apply as many EA as u want, provided u apply the non restrictive EAs. I know u guyz must b thinking that ED is restrictive n not EA, but trust me there are some restrictive EAs as well, so just check college site and then apply…but m sure that u can apply many EAs.
Hope this helps ya…

N yes…chance me guyz…"

@stunep15: I think u are mistaken myan… IS is always of 1 page. Even last year it was of 1 page… if u need i can send you of last year’s and this year’s both. they are both of just 1 page myan… no worries…

@durlav1n1: no one chance u on ur such status myan… U are not all about these numbers and % myan… are u? college wants to see sumone behind nos. and %s. Your status is good but no one can say by looking at thi status either u can get in or not… Believe me!!! College application is really a random procedure and u may get surprised at their decision later. So at this moment I can just advice you to work on ur SAT and essays myan…

^david, thanks dude…that was exactly the thing I was trying to answer…didn’t cost me time…

@durlav1n1…we can’t chance you…we are not AdCom

@durlav1n1, with no offence, dude, you came district top with 86.8%? where are u from?
and class rank seems to be impressive, and one more thing, how did u manage time to get involved everywhere? (you say u have so many ECAs…)

@david
thanks man,
i was confused,it is clear now,
actually i got everything i mean my recos and other things from the school ready and was wondering where the hell is this form that contains my rank and class size,
and it just dawned upon me that its the Secondary School report…and my GC didn’t prepare that for me…
so do I need to submit secondary school report??
if the answer is yes,i m in hell trouble :(

of course…secondary school report should be prepared by ur GC…its like a form of transcript u submit to the commonapp…u need to submit almost everything the form asks…

@confidential2015

about district top, ma valley bahira ko ho (lets not disclose the district), so 86.8 % is really high for me n my district although to the students of Kathmandu, who have average score of 85%, it might seem low.

ECs ta class bunk gari gari garnu paryo…some A-levels students had told me that ECs were imp for college admission in US, so i jus jumped into them any time i wished…

@all

Do u think my SATs are very low or I still have a chance?? my SAT is just 3-4 days away n m really afraid.i cant increase my score above 560 in CR (as m from outside the valley, 800 in CR is something beyond my mastery)…do u guyz kno which buks are helpful for CR?I have completed most books of USEF…

guyz, i think I have an outstanding essay topic, although i havent completed it.Dont u think my stats other than my SAT can help me?
And do ur comments indirectly mean that m not competitive for LEHIGH OR TRINITY ???

where r all the 2015’ers from Nepal, c’mon guyz…
help me out…and at least come over here, we can discuss many things…

@durlav1n1…bro SAT is definitely a very important part of admission process as it is a standardized test…but it isn’t everything…work on your essay properly and i suggest u check out some colleges which aren’t SAT intensive…just don’t restrict yourself to few colleges…

@durlav1n1 dude, seriously, what do u think is this thread all about? we discuss a problem in group…we discuss issues related to college admission…we don’t predict a college for someone just looking at his scores(which might not even be the real one…people tend to mislead others!)
And stop telling us that we indirectly mean this or that…apply to the college and get the view from adcom(for your kind information, deadlines are nearer…so hurry up!)…there are no hard and fast lines that block you from applying to Lehigh or Trinity…Give a try…see what happens…
If u don’t have a solid background in English, practicing more won’t help at all…and even mugging up the vocab won’t help…You need to remember that SAT tests not what you mugged up but how well can you understand(though there are critics of SAT too). Basically, if you see the CR section, it is about understanding the paragraph…so they measure how well you can concentrate and find out correct answer of 24 questions within 25 minutes…(20 min…19 questions too…)
my suggestion: DON’T PANIC! 1800+ is not that bad…if you get 560 in CR and 750+ in Maths…that will really be a good score…
