@durlav1n1 : If you already donot know, you can waive your SAT I requirement for Trinity. If you score considerably lower, I think you will be more at a benefit by not submiting it. A friend of mine, went to trinity last year without submiting any SAT scores. Another person went by just submitting SAT II scores (his CR was less than 500 in more than 5-6 attempts)
I dont know about lehigh but thats my knowledge about trinity. Few colleges waive SAT I for you but if you have good scores its always going to benifit you.
On a different note, whats up with your opening a new thread http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/international-students/1008595-nepal.html
Are you going to discuss something different, was it created by mistake ?? If it wasn’t, all its gonna do is creat more confusion for new CC members from Nepal, who are in CC for the first time. I would suggest you to title your thread differently to reduce the confusion

@durlav1n1…I suggest you either rename that thread or close it…coz what hetfield created is working fine…and there’s no use of creating confusions…

@ everybody
guyz chill…m new at cc and kinda confused with stuffs over here, i just wanted 2 post smthing but i created a new thread by mistake.But where do i nid to go to rename/del that thread??

@here123
if I dont send my SAT scores to Trinity, wont it effect my chances of admission as well as aid or is there else that I cud/nid to send other than SAT scores…could u plz elaborate it…

And are u guyz submitting paper recos and school forms or the new common app online forms?
I m confused with my mid year.As I’ve already passed out from high school, MR, FR and SSR k k ho ra k k include garne.Do i nid marksheets of grade 9?..in my school we’ve no GC, so i nid ideas…

@durlav1n1…dude relax… u can send either SAT I or SAT II score…and why are u so stuck with trinity…nth can gurantee ur addmission to ne colleges…so think of many colleges…

@durlav1n1:
the middle 50% students in trinity (college that is not uni) have a score range of 560 to 680 in the CR section. However, ur score not falling into this range doesn’t necessarily mean that you won’t get admission. your math score is high, that’s a plus point. they may waive your CR score and look at the toefl score, that’s what important for international students than CR, at least that’ what one MIT rep in cc told someone at some thread. so having a good CR score will obviously help but even if you have it, you can always balance it out with a good essay or something else.

mmm…i have many others in my list but TRINITY is for my ED, so jus wanted to know more abt it…

@headache101
thanx dude…

HOW do i delete the thread??

@durlav : I assume opening the thread was a mistake. You must probably wont be able to delete it. So just leave it. If no one posts in it, the thread will be lost in 3-4 days.

Regarding TRINITY, if you are up for it, then best of luck. See this [Trinity College](http://www.trincoll.edu/Admissions/International/Testing+Requirements)
"All international student applicants must submit at least one or more of the following standardized tests: "

So this basically suggests that you can submit only one score (Which might be your TOEFL or SAT II or SAT I) If you have good scores in all then by all means submit all scores. If you think you are not going to do well in CR sections, then submit your SAT II and TOEFL scores.
Regarding hampering your admission, like I said I know 2 guys who went to TRINITY with very good Fin-Aid. One of them only submitted TOEFL while the other one submitted SAT II (I assume he submitted TOEFL as well)

Regarding SAT being equal to TOEFL only few colleges bear this policy. MIT is the prominent one. At most of the other colleges by no means SAT I (CR section) is comparable to TOEFL. SAT is the most important part of your application but it sure is important.

Good to see you guys greatly involved in discussion…Welcome to all newcomers.
@durlav1n1
The admission process is so abrupt.So no one can chance you.The Chelsea guy who got into Northeastern was rejected by all other top colleges he had applied to and was in great dilemma but at the last moment he got accepted to Northeastern and now…Just apply to those colleges and see what happens(Whatever happens happens for the good!!:D).

@durlav1n1 ache is a girl he he…

@here123 I guess brandeis has somewhat same requirement…either TOEFL or SAT I or ACT

^^^^^#1429

@ others: i see tests are making people go crazy here :P

@all
sry for a bit of break… just was busy with personal stuffs
@durlav
welcome to the thread.
Ok let me also repeat wat others have said and will always say time and again… US admissions process is one of the random process you will ever come across.Here are two identical examples:

1. St. Mary’s topper

Vice President of Smart Club
Volunteered in many more organizations than you said.
Essay writing capacity extraordinary ( can write very complex cases in a rather easy and smart way. Editor of my esays )
Linden US university Fair Head of Volunteer

2 Just a little bit more than average( like almost all CCers) GPA

President of Smart Club
Essay not so daami but OK. Risky topic.
Involvement in many many ECAs

And what was the result???

1 got nowhere and #2 ended up Northeastern. See now if you had chanced those questions wat would have been the answers???

Another case for Trinity…
SAT- 1200(CR+Maths)
HSEB- 66%
Esay daaami
ECAs not much
and got into trinity
So please do consider these things and always remember US admissions can’t be chanced.
BTW which college are you from?? PM me if you want privacy.
And I aint being rude… just getting the actual image of what its like in an US admissions process.

^

I would recommend that you not use the word “random”. It is misleading. Results of the college admissions in the US are definitely quite difficult to predict in general, but they are by no means random.

1431, #1432, #1433: bad joke…nothin much to laugh at…

@ all: ko kt, ko kta, tyo chahi thaha bayena…anywyz #1429 : thanx 4 correcting…
@ Chandalsaitan: #1 name chahi ramro chha

2 thanx for the info…

I hope luck favors me…ma Bagmati Boarding School ko ho…

@sarba
ok thanks for saying that but i have seen many cases that proves the process to be a random one…
name and everything in personal and i aint gonna give anything more than this… a guy got into a top notch university with a fake SAT score… think this… and i have seen many undeserving cases going into top notch and real deserving ones getting nowhere( No PMs and questions regarding who,where and how about this post… i m told not to publicize). So in my learning I call it a random process. Sorry for this post but in my view its just random.
@durlav
welcum dude.

^1438

I too have seen 1 guy…who had 2200, exellent % and gr8 ECAs…but he had to go to a State U…poor guy…
American colleges, God knows what they exactly look for???

State University? What do u mean? Are you trying to mark state university as a bad option? Well, if so, then you better go to the nursery of college admission process! Do you even know what state universities actually mean? Did you take a look at the recruiter’s first choice in 2010? Amongst the 25 best choice, there are only 2 private universities. Dude, do you even know what is the sum of money state universities get from the American government every year? Do you think graduates from all the private universities get an instant job offer? NO WAY! But if you look at State Universities, there are hardly any students left to get a job or get admission to graduate school after they complete their undergrad studies. Do you know why? Coz they are run by the GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! Next time you put something in here, plz do at least some research, my request with you. You need serious guidance about college admission process.
