@sarbaraj:

I agree wid u. There are certain variations in sections of SAT. Like I said earlier, students may come out testing the same paper , but they generally attempt different sections(within 2-4 sections) at different time and it depends upon arrangements…

I hope what u said abt collegeboard book turns out to be true and I’d score above 600 in CR…
:)

just go with calm n collectiveness…thats it
abt cheating…DONT EVEN THINK ABT IT…when i had given my SAT at SXS, one guy(from nxt xam room) was expelled…i heard some teachers yelling at him n god knows what happened afterward( though i did managed to hear the oldies calling him a cheater )…another thing is that u can cheat if u manage to but to anticipate that the guy sitting nxt to or near u is doing the same section or as sarbaraj said there r random codes with the xam is a whole another thing…
just work on urself…as an experienced examinee, i can say that u cant better ur scores overnight…n i hate to say this (since im giving my ACT on oct23) but no book can improve ur english DRAMATICALLY in a month…So, just be content with what u possess…HAPPY SAT-day!! :D

@ache and sarb …come on girls cat fight! yay! cat fight cat fight…oh…i guess sarb is a boy…haha…
great…were all waiting for the 100th page to fly like this? I was away for 4 hours…taking my practice test and there are already so many posts!
I find barrons really easy…I don’t know why…I even score 700+ in CR when its barrons…(I never mugged up the vocab and will never!)…the main problem I am having is with my Maths section…I don’t know whats up with me…I just look like so fing idiot when I say I hardly score 700ish…fk my math…

@headache

Could you please wait until October 15ish… I’ll give you the link to the collegeboard page that explicitly mentions the variations.

why are you people talking abt cheating? guys,remember,at any point in your life…you will never get to cheat if you leave Nepal for studies in the US. A level people might have even forgotten what cheating looks like(I don’t mean to hurt +2,Isc but you guys agree that you can cheat ni haina?)…I remember those days during class 9(last time I peeked at another friend’s copy)…I sometimes wish if SATs were taken in the same manner…haha…

MY FINAL SUGGESTION TO INCREASE CR SCORE: DO NOT CHEAT!

^

hahahaha… true in a sense…
we didn’t even cheat in class tests…

and BTW, its sarbaraj, NOT sabaraj

^u people have ur SAT center at RBS haina? The collegeboard website says that RBS is a closed center for SAT tests…is that true?

Closed in the sense that only RBS people take tests in there…

^ @ confidential2015: this coming from a guy who got all cranky due to a misunderstanding about state Unis
anyways, that’s all based on my observation, it’s not a generalization

ok then, i vow not to cheat…but then again…human beings are prone to make mistakes!!!
ok then ill see what happens there…

^^^
I am sorry…Sarbaraj101…lol
And yeah I am definitely not gonna cheat(unless I get a chance…lol…Just a joke).Strict no!!!
@confidential
I too hope the same.Like the class tests when all students in the same row used to have the ditto copied answer…

^ @ confidential2015: this coming from a guy who got all cranky due to a misunderstanding about state Unis

^@ache now you wanna fight me? haha…wasn’t sarb enough? haha…

i see most of the members online…thats great…

@Prasadian

I hope you do realize that English is only a medium for CR, the real test is the qualitative reasoning ability. Of course, having good command over English helps, but that’s not it.

For eg, there are many people who have gotten As and Bs in AS-level General Paper, but who struggle to get beyond the 550 - 600 mark.

and the final tip from me: look at the unusual meaning of words: let your mind relax. Check out today’s QotD to see what I mean :p

It’s really easy, but… well… you’ll find out… :D

@confidential2015

NO! Centers are NOT allowed to do that (as far as I know). RBS is a seasonal center: it only opens for some of the tests, not all. I think it is open for this Nov, Dec, and Jan (not sure about Jan).

@ all real SAT test experienced guyz

I heard that when the proctor instructs u to put ur pen down after each section, u may swiftly turn ur section to next one and while he instructs u how to grid in the answers, u may read and concentrate on the questions of next question.
Also while the proctor gives instructions, he doesnt come to al students to check which section they have ended in??
If it happens to b so, we can make use of 2-5 minutes.
Is it really true and applicable guyz???

oh… BTW… anyone up for Lincoln? Or is everyone @ SXC?

@durlav

Well… if you are found doing that, you might be expelled. It is against the rules. But seriously, 25 min SAT sections, if done properly and with clarity, can be finished in 15 minutes. No need to rush, but don’t get bogged down with 1 question either.

^ I also wanted to ask that question…if i mark my answers in the answer sheet(lets say section 3) but don’t get time to fill up the final 2/3 answers, can’t I just go on filling them as if I were doing next section?

@ache let me finish this application process…then I will see you…lol!

@sarb
man…i have given SAT … n it wasnt any fun
@durlav
damn
u should have told me bt it …i was in the last seat …n no instructer came to look if i had been doing the sections properly…missed the chance…tait!!
but sarb is right!

^ err… I never said anything about fun, did I? :S
