**Class of 2015 Harvard Admissions Decisions Discussion**

Use this thread to post your thoughts regarding this year’s admissions decisions. Good luck, everyone!

Waited eagerly since November!

To be perfectly honest, I’m just waiting for that last sliver of hope to be crushed at the moment.

^ditto.
10char bump.

1d:19h:8m…

“To be perfectly honest, I’m just waiting for that last sliver of hope to be crushed at the moment”

same here! :((

CC’s going to get really slow over the next couple of days…

^I thought CC crashed last year at the time when Ivy decisions released.
I don’t see how anything could prevent that from happening this time too lol.

Read that they will send an email in the afternoon directly to my son. Will they send those decisions to the parents, too?

^No, they won’t.

conhanmeg, the university only has a relationship with your son. If your son is admitted, then he can designate people to receive the bills, haha. FERPA (Federal Educational Records Privacy Act) really gives the university no choice but to do it this way.

I am so excited for Wednesday! The anticipation is killing me!

Just to clarify, we are getting decisions by email right? Not by some kind of online portal.

^^Correct. See: https://admweb.fas.harvard.edu/ha/Applicant/ApplicantFrame.html

"Thank you for your interest in Harvard College and your participation in the admission process. We do not post our admissions decisions online.

Admission decision letters will be sent Wednesday morning, March 30, 2011. E-mail decisions will be sent to the address on record Wednesday afternoon at 5:00 pm EDT."

GoldOwl, yes. It’ll be sent by email unless you chose otherwise on your application.

Ok thanks!

Did anyone else besides me opt out of receiving an e-mail? I just don’t want to deal with 4 Ivy rejections in one day and I hate how everything is online now. Opening a letter is much more fun than clicking on a link, even if it’s a rejection.

originally i had it set up without email notification. But then Spring Break plans came up and I’ll be in Florida by Thursday so I didnt want my parents to get the letter and have to tell me over the phone. Although I agree Rainbow, the letter is definitely more enjoyable to open

If you guys were to get accepted what do you think your immediate response would be? I think I would start laughing for a good 30 minutes.

I would probably scream. REALLY LOUD. lol
