"Class of 2015 has been chosen"

I received this email today from Lehigh inviting me to attend an accepted students evening and answer questions for the parents and incoming students. Here is part of the email that pertains to the 2015 decisions:

"It's hard to believe that Lehigh's Class of 2015 has just been chosen. Decisions were mailed to the students last week, and events have been planned to congratulate the newest admitted students and show them what it means to be a part of the Lehigh family. I would like to cordially invite you to share in the excitement as a current Lehigh parent."

Good luck everyone!

My son has not received a letter yet. Has everyone received a decision" The portal has not been updated either, just says, decisions will be posted here in March.

So worried!

As for internationals, Mrs. Severin said that the decision would be posted on the portal on March 24th.
I am nervous as hell.

Tantalizing post!

“Decisions were mailed to the students last week” , would imply that letters should be in hand the next few days? Are decisions posted online?

“Lehigh inviting me to attend an accepted students evening” , can you share the date of this?

This post of March 8 also indicates that application decisions have been made , about a week earlier than last year!

“By the end of the day today, we all felt quite comfortable with where the class stands”
“Now I know you are all waiting to hear about our decisions - and I can understand that. But getting decisions online and in the mail is much more difficult than you would think.”

Most likely this all means that the decisions are made, and now they are getting the letters done and ready for mailing as well as preparing the script to update the portal. Last year the likely emails went out on March 10 and the final decisions were posted on March 25th at 4 pm, letters arrived the next day.

Last year they posted an update on the portal mid March announcing the date and time the decisions would be loaded onto the portal - I am sure they will do that soon. Then, you unfortunately have to wait!

The OOS accepted students events are beginning on the 13th of April and run through the end of the month from what I could see from the email they sent me. Also my son is going to be volunteering to host the accepted students weekend for engineering majors at Lehigh and that is April 9th.

How did you all get your access to the portal? Was it in an email or a letter?

Can we assume that all merit and financial aid info will be posted on the 24th too?

suebinor, When my son was accepted last year he received his merit/financial aid package the same day. The invitation to the Eckardt Scholar program came a few days later however. Good luck!!!

Does anyaone know if Lehigh has any indicators of acceptance or denial. Like any new addition to the portal!!!

Yea i’m desparately looking for some reassurance lol! if not i’ll just wai till thursday

i am so nervous about this school…can’t wait until thursday! does anyone know what time of day the decisions will be online?

They were posted at about 4PM last year.

My daughter has been selected by Lehigh. I am wondering if there is an Orientation for incoming Freshman and their parents just before the start of the year. I have a son at Notre Dame where the school gave a wonderful three day orientation for parents and students. I am hoping for the same. We live across the country and have never seen Lehigh.

@ [#14

Here’s an example of what goes on during orientation: 66th Annual Rally](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/12320439-post14.html).

The class from 50 years ago adopts the current incoming class. This is a great tradition.

PABound - There are many accepted students events in the next few weeks - at Lehigh and in most major cities. Your daughter should login to her account and register for them.

There is a weeklong orientation for the students before classes start and events for the parents on Move In Day and again at Family Weekend in October. The orientation events for the students continue off and on through the first few months.

In addition there are formal PreLUsion groups your daughter can participate in, ranging from community service to outdoor adventure.

The Lehigh website has all of the information on what is available and how to register.

Congratulations to your daughter!
