Class of 2015 Potential

Please post when you get accepted. When did you apply? Major? SAT/ACT Score?

I got accepted, applied a few weeks before the nov 1 deadline. Major: math or physics but definetely pre-med. ACT: 35

Applied a day before the November 1 deadline. Accepted late November. Will probably end up majoring in Mechanical Engineering. 35 ACT as well

So quiet on this TU forum… Applied mid-Nov and got words this week. Undecided major. ACT 34. Where are the rest of the amittees? ;-)

Still waiting to hear. Applied in late October, 35 ACT, rank 1/359. Will I get in?

Snowbound - don’t worry, you’ll get in.
31 ACT. Ranked 31/290. Major: if TU, probably Poly Sci. I applied in November (I think). Also, I’m an IB student at a major local magnet school.

Accepted! Most likely major in Physics or Math. ACT: 32. SAT: 2040. Rank: 64/408. Applying to the Honors Program.

I got accepted! Petroleum Engineering. SAT 1: 1290. GPA: 3.39 OOS. No rank.
GOOD LUCK!

is tulsa university hard to get into?? Is it a tough school?

The university of Tulsa is selective, but not highly selective. It admits about 50% of applications. Your question is really better asked if you are comparing to other university or if you are asking about your chances (in which it would be helpful if you gave your stats…grades, ACT/SAT scores, activities, etc.)

Also, whether it is a tough school depends highly on the major chosen. This is similar to most schools quality schools. UTulsa has a good engineering and sciences program and those majors are known to be difficult. My son is a Presidential Scholar in computer science at UTulsa in the Honors program and he finds the work to be very difficult overall. However, it is doable with enough study and he enjoys it very much and he loves the university. He is in his sophomore year there.

I got into Tulsa, but I was not sure if Tulsa was a good school or not. Do you know anything about the nightlife and activites/groups on Tulsa University? Or is it just studying 24/7? Is Tulsa University a party school? Thanks!!!

Mostly it depends on your major. Engineering and the sciences study quite a bit and the classes are difficult. Other majors vary.

It is a small school, but there are many activities you can participate in. However, you have to be the one to get involved in ogranizations and participate if you want to connect.

There is not a lot of “night life”…in that it is not a party school. However, there are partys to be had if you look for them.
