[Error leads to early admission - The Daily Collegian Online](http://www.collegian.psu.edu/archive/2010/10/11/error_leads_to_early_admission.aspx)
Note the date on this article…October 11th. Supposedly these 700 mistakes were made on the Sunday before…the 10th and PSU removed the notices from the MyPennState website (although it sounds as though they will honor them).

The people on this thread received their acceptances almost a week AFTER this error. If we are to believe PhysicsFunFest’s version of events then PSU made the same mistake twice…almost a week apart and after they were aware of the problem. I find that hard to believe. Just saying…

Plus, even though these 700 admissions decisions were released early, everyone that receivede an acceptance was still admitted under regular provisions. It is not as if these 700 people are random acceptances. And though I received my acceptance, I am 99.9% sure I did not recieve a notice of acceptance last week: I checked my status every day.

Physics Fun Fest- my D was not in the computer glitch group either and she received her acceptance online yesterday!

This physics guys is wrong for several reasons:

The acceptance wouldn’t show up on the status page at this point in time. They were changed back.

Statistically it’s unlikely that the portion of acceptances that show up on CC would only be from that group of 700.

I saw this morning that over night mypennstate updated to an acceptance to UPark for my son. College of science. Out of state. Schreyer application is next!
