I honestly have no idea what my unweighted GPA is, Clemson uses the weighted SC GPA for instate students. Mine is a 4.7

ACT 30

Higher GPA than mdterps44… can someone help explain with a higher GPA 3.75 vs. 3.4 both unweighted how one can get waitlisted and one gets accepted??
Congrats mdterps44 !! Just very disappointed and trying to understand the decision of being waitlisted.

Graphic Communications

4.23 W (that’s all my school reports)

28 ACT / 30 superscored

Actual unweighted was higher than their weighted.

Any other school would not question the outcome, however Clemson states they do not look at Extra Curriculars, Essays, Sports, etc. So if it is numbers they look at this clearly does not equate.

thanks Nxtchaptr83!
my gpa is out of 4, is your 4.4 out of 4 as well?
i know my test scores are low, but i think they do some heavy recruiting from my area (NoVA). Almost every person from my high school got accepted to Clemson last year.

Daughter is an athlete coming in as a preferred walk-on. Her two friends were also accepted today. One to Engineering with a 4.3 and a 29, the other to Pre-Vet with a 4.2 and a 28.

brycdf27 : my GPA is 3.75 out of 4.0 Alot of kids applied from my school, it is an extremely competitive High School. I am very disappointed Worked very hard. Now on to the Big Decision to wait or not to wait. Would love to understand first.
