**Class of 2015 University of Chicago Admissions Decisions Discussion**

Sadly, tomorrow morning I have to wake up before 5am to do a quartet performance at some teacher retirement breakfast party thing. It’s absolutely obscene. Crazy teachers. Then I have school and when I get home I’ll have a little bit of time to obsess (hopefully results will be out by then!! I’m in PST time.) And then I’m getting a deep tissue massage for my neck – all that violin playing, lol. So I /really/ hope they come out before I leave because if not then I definitely will NOT be able to relax, hahah. Although if they DO come out before I might start crying while I’m getting a massage…hmmm…which is worse? :P

everyone sure it will be tomorrow? i thought the uncommon blog only mentioned that we will know “how” to view decisions tomorrow but not that we will be able to view our decisions tomorrow?

^I thought that too… until I realized the title of the blog entry is “Regular Notification decisions will be available on Friday, March 18th.”

Not knowing what time it’s going to be is stressing me out. I’ll be constantly checking.
EA was released at 2-3 I believe although it stated 5 on the blog.

My decision was posted… I did not get an email or anything, but when I logged on it was there. I had gotten a likely letter, however, so I don’t know if this is the same for everyone else.

Is the decision gonna be available on the. First page when you log in? Cause idk where else it could be. That’s the only page I have

It was under a “view updates” link… however, I just realized after I posted that the date for my update was in february, (though my official acceptance was not up until today) so I’m not sure how it will be for everyone else. Sorry about that!

Hey guys  Are u feelin’ it? :stuck_out_tongue: I know I am… I just want to ask if any of u received an e-mail with instructions on how to view your descision? Cuz I received such an e-mail from Brown, which is 10 days earlier, and still no word from Chicago! When do they send those e-mails?

Arirey, The email you will receive today will look something like this:

*
Subject: Your UChicago Admissions Decision is Available

Dear Arirey,

Thank you for applying to the University of Chicago.

Your admissions decision is now available. You may view your decision by logging into your https://collegeadmissions.uchicago.edu/php/login.php</a> Chicago Account. If you do not have a Chicago Account or cannot log in, please email collegeadmissions@uchicago.edu.

Best,
The Office of College Admissions
*

You don’t have to wait for the email if you have already set up the account. The link to see the result will show up on your account page the moment they make the result available.

Good luck!

I am eagerly waiting for my friends’ results.

I read last year’s threads that said if you are rejected, they will include the rejection in the email. I hope this is not the case this year…

So guys last summer before I even applied to chicago, they sent me a UChicago T-Shirt. Did any of you guys get one and does that mean a lot of interest from UChicago?? haha

Does anyone know if they e-mail everyone or just those who will be accepted?

They will email everyone.

I really like Theoretically The Best T-shirt.

how many international students with financial aid do they accept? Any international who has applied with aid here?

@curry I am considered international and I applied asking for full aid. Hopefully, they accept a lot of internationals. I have my fingers crossed! :D

@solrac, you are so optimistic! haha

There are ~16 internationals attending on aid per year, according to various sources, which, depending on the international yield rate (and I honestly can’t even try to guess), means UChicago offers financial aid to 30-50 prospective international freshmen every year. Maybe 25, maybe 60. No idea.

In any case, the number is small.

@Ghostt, thanks for the info.
I guess it doesn’t help that they are need-aware for international financial aid applicants. Oh well, I guess we shall know in a few hours. Good luck to you all!

OMG… ASLDKJFA;LSKDJF IM DYING HERE. just release those decisions asdlakjgl GAHHHHHHHHHHH
