Class Of 2015

Has anyone’s audition moved to the “received” side of the application who auditioned at NYC Unifieds?

my D’s did just yesterday and she auditioned in late Jan on campus.

I auditioned at NYC Unifieds and the audition is still under “not received”.
Let me know if you find out anything!

Will do. My D’s friend got a rejection letter last week but we have not heard anything yet! Hoping that’s a good sign but I know better! :)

Do you know when your D’s friend auditioned?

Same day as my daughter.

Still haven’t heard anything. I checked myIthaca and my audition still has not been “received”. I know people have received rejections already. Apparently one guy found out through mail just a week after his audition. Anyone know what’s up?

Does anyone recall the “advertised” notification date for Ithaca?

I wrote down at my D’s Chicago info session that they would send audition decisions to the Admissions Office by about March 1, then it was up to admissions to send out the formal response. They thought that would happen by March 15 or so.

Around March 15th is what we heard also. My D auditioned at LA Unifieds on 2/11 and, they said that decisions would be sent out around March 15th. The Theatre Dept. makes a “recommendation” to the overall Admissions Department, and the final decisions are sent out by the Admissions Department. He didn’t say anything about rejections being sent earlier – so I was a little surprised to read the posts that some people were rejected a week after auditioning. I thought acceptances and rejections were being sent out at the same time. But we are very new to all of this - so I could have misunderstood. (My D’s audition status on “My Ithaca” still says Audition not received.)

my S auditioned at Chicago Unifieds and his audition status on “MyIthaca” also says Audition not received.

The Ithaca Admissions Office told me that if your MyIthaca shows that your audition “hasn’t been received” it just means the admissions office has not received audition results from the department yet. My D’s says the same.

Same for me. My audition still says “not received”…
I wonder if thats a good thing…haha

I don’t think with Ithaca that you can go by what date you auditioned.

My experience with Ithaca (D auditioned 6 years ago and was admitted) and observations over the years is that they accept and deny some as they go along and don’t reply to others until at the very end of the process in late March. When my D auditioned in late Jan. of her year, she was accepted about two weeks later. I have a student already rejected this year. But as in years past, many have heard nothing and won’t hear until the very end of the admissions cycle. So, I would say Ithaca’s program is PART rolling admissions and PART notification for everyone else at the end of the cycle (including acceptances and denials). It’s a little of both admissions processes.

My d’s application checklist says: what we need is audition.

Is this the same as not received as everyone has posted?

Auditioned at Chicago Unifieds. “Audition” moved from “What We Still Need” to “What We Have Received” late this morning.

My audition moved to the received side today. anyone else?

My S has audition in his " what we still need column"
He was a walk in in Chicago

My D auditioned in LA and her audition is still in the “What we still need box”.

I auditioned in LA and my status changed to “received” on March 4th. Still haven’t heard anything.
Break a leg to everyone!
