Anyone? Where are you from? Applying EA or regular? Programs? Other schools you're applying to? I'm from Idaho, applying to some UCs and my state safety. LMU regular decision and a ridiculous reach EA. I really like the film dept at LMU though and I hope to end up there.

I’m applying regular decision, although LMU is my first choice school. My major is political science Other schools I’m applying to include Arizona State, San Diego State, CSU Long Beach, etc.
I really love everything about LMU and hope to become a lion next year!

Applying EA to LMU, UVa, Santa Clara University, UCSD and UCI and RD to Emory and William and Mary. Biochemistry on the Pre-Med track is my major. I’m from New York, New York. I love LMU!

I’m from Bangkok, Thailand, applying EA to LMU. My intended major is either Biology or Biochemistry. Other schools I’m applying to include a bunch of liberal arts colleges (eg. Lafayette, Wooster, etc.) and Brown. Good luck guys!

Hey guys! I’m a current freshman at LMU and I absolutely love it here, I remember being on College Confidential a year ago - wow that’s bizarre! Anyway good luck with all your applications :)

@Mai1995 I’m an international student at LMU (I’m from England and China). The International Office here is absolutely wonderful, the friendliest people you could ever meet. They really take care of you, so you’d be in good hands if you end up here Good luck!

@flippyadomp Thanks! I actually met one of the admissions officer, Dwayne, in Bangkok at a college fair. I don’t know if you know him. He was really nice and everything and helped me so much, which was why I decided to apply to LMU.

Oh yes I’ve spoken to Dwayne although I’ve never met him personally. I believe he does a lot of the recruiting but not as much dealing with current international students. But yes, he was very friendly when I spoke to him on the phone The OISS (Office of International Students and Scholars) are really so much help - and the International Orientation is so much fun. You go to Disneyland! Hehehe.

I’m from Delaware applying EA to LMU! School of Film & Television, production major! I’m also applying to 5 UCs, USD, USC and Chapman. As well as NYU and Fordham in NYC. Plus a few random safeties. Good luck to all of you!

Applying EA and to Santa Clara, USD, Regis, Marquette, and Fordham. From los angeles/ Redondo Beach. Going to major in psych or political science and maybe enter the pre-law program.

Hey,
I recently was accepted to Loyola Marymount and the Film School into the screenwriting program!
Not sure I’ll end up going here but it’s nice to get accepted.

howdytex2: do you mind me asking what your gpa, ec’s etc are? I am curious and wonder if only the specific program applicants received acceptance letters so far. I only know of people getting deferred until now.

accepted for engineering - i didn’t get an email, just logged onto myLMU account. GPA: 4.37, SAT: 2360/2400

Son accepted to Film & Television for Animation.
Waiting to hear from Chapman-Dodge, USC School of Cinema Arts (both for Digital Arts). He also applied to 4 UCs. He’d love to go to LMU–if merit aid is adequate-to-generous.
GPA 4.27
SAT 2300

Dancer, congrats! Did you get Honors at Acceptance?

I’ve read that LMU may use only unweighted GPA for merit. Anyone know? That seems to put people who took all honors/APs at a significant disadvantage…

Did anyone else apply to LMU RD?

My S applied RD. Waiting to hear. Since it’s rolling admissions, hope he won’t have to wait too long.

@OhioMom: Just curious, but what major did your S apply for?

Hoping to hear back from LMU soon!

He’s applying for Film and Television, Film Production specifically.
Good luck, LaChicaBuena!
