hey! everyone’s so friendly in this thread, its great haha. Can you guys maybe chance me?

I attend a public high school in MA (OOS) and I don’t know my class rank.

GPA: weighted: 4.2, unweighted: 3.7
Rigor: Freshman year: all honors, Sophomore: 3 honors, 2 AP, Junior: 3 APs, 2 Honors
ACT: 30
SAT II’s: Bio M: 710
AP Scores:
I’ve only taken US History and Bio so far. I got a 5 on bio and a 4 on US History
EC’s: I’m on my school’s tennis and field hockey teams. I play the violin in school orchestra and in another youth orchestra at New England Conservatory. I’m in NHS, Student Council, Peer Tutoring, Leadership club, and Leo Club (community service) I have two jobs: scooping ice cream and at a tutoring center I also volunteer at a hospital!

I haven’t visited campus yet but I reallly want to! I hear it’s beautiful.
Does anyone know how being OOS affects your application? I know for some state schools it makes it more difficult…but i hope not!

Yeah I’m going to go ahead and say welcome to Binghamton haha, your stats are fantastic. And no I talked to them and they said there’s no difference for OOS applicants.
Campus is beautiful, just don’t visit until the floods subside lol.

Basically there’s no way you’re getting rejected. Apply EA with us!

It seems like everyone here, for every school I look at it, is very qualified. CC doesn’t actually represent the average student applying does it? Because I’m wondering if that 60% Binghamton rejects are just as qualified as the people that have posted on this thread. If this is true than I definitely have no chacne at Georgetown. :/

Generally CC kids are above average; most kids don’t really care this much. I’m pretty sure everyone who has posted here so far is qualified for Bing.

Yay for being above average!

thanks! that was really reassuring. i will most definitely be applying early action!
Floods?! i’ll definitely be waiting for those to clear up haha. I think i may go over columbus weekend. i’m so excited!

Are you really?? I think I might be going again on October 12th so right around the same time. Hopefully the flooding damage is cleaned up by then lol.

I hope so! maybe we’ll run into each other haha. but yeah, i had no idea the storm was so bad in new york! we got tons of rain but certainly no flooding. we have a whole month, it should be good by then :)

We should make a FB group “The CC kids who want to attend Binghamton”

haha that’s a good idea andy lol.

haha yes! i like this idea.

haha join if you want! :)

I did! wooohooo :)

Supplements realllly need to come out.

yeah im not sure if im gonna get in…people say my gpa might be too low.
i have a 1280 (out of 1600) on the sat
about a 92.5 unweighted gpa,
and all the possible honors/ap classes
what do you think my chances are?

Nah your GPA isn’t too bad. It could be higher but you’re probably in the safe range. As for your chances, what are your ECs?

Yeah I’d say you have at least a 90% chance of getting in.

thanks! i hope i do get in haha
