Daughter was accepted today! happy day here. wondering when financial aid info will arrive

Hey there. Congratulations! Can you please tell me how you received the information? Email, telephone call, online, mail etc.? Thanks!

thanks. my dtr received a text yesterday around 2:30pm stating she was accepted. So, she came home immediately and looked at her “gobaylor” account and all the info was there.

did you apply early?

Yes. Application was complete around 10/15 so I am sure it will be awhile before I hear anything. My go Baylor account only shows a completed application etc. Thanks for the info and congratulations again.

best of luck. I’m sure you’ll hear something soon. keep checking your “gobaylor” acct.

Congrats! I was accepted the other day as well! I talked to an admissions officer, and she said that the merit aid amount will come with the official acceptance letter, which they started mailing on November 2nd.

Just got notice I got into Baylor! 3.3 GPA 28 ACT. Application was complete mid-October.

Congratulations! yes, dtr recvd her her official acceptance today.

I got in a few days ago. Quick question though. Even if I’m not sure if I’m attending will it be advantageous to put in the deposit now? Will it put me at the head of the queue when dorms are picked? I can also get my deposit refunded by May 1st if i decide not to attend, correcT?

biochemtx, yes. that is what I understand it to be also. I called and they told us the exact same thing. Congratulations!

I got in the day after the application closed. I checked online and they had it posted there. A few days later they sent me the documents (in an awesome big envelope with a gold seal), and the financial aid info was attached there. It basically just told me about the scholarship that I qualified for. I think all other financial aid you have to apply for?

thanks. and congratulatons

Hm, after seeing all these acceptances, my son and I went to his account and see that he’s been accepted, too. No letters in the mail or any news about scholarships, though.

He’s a NMSF but I’m not sure if he’ll name Baylor or UTD as his first choice.

Does he fill out the fafsa now? How do scholarships work at Baylor? I think he qualifies for the highest level based on his gpa (4.0) and SAT I (2320) but I’m not really sure. Should he talk with his counselor or will they eventually email/text/mail him something?

sbjdorlo, the FAFSA wont become available until Jan 1st. you should be receiving info on his scholarship earned very soon and then you can contact the school.

yeahyeahyeah~~~~ :).
(they called home & i submitted maybe a week before nov 1?)

Kind of strange that my son got no notification, call, email, letter, or anything but his GoBaylor account shows him as accepted.

Daughter applied to Baylor and has yet to hear from them, as of now. She has a 3.8 and is in the top 4% of her class. I’m surprised she hasn’t heard yet, but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time!

Those of you that have been accepted. How did your Go Baylor page change? I’ve seen that different people have mentioned that and wondered. She is able to make a deposit on the admissions page (we haven’t yet) and qualifies for a good amount of scholarships.

We are dying to know! Ha!

Thanks!

mwomble,

It just had a big “banner” looking thing that says “accepted” on it.

I hope you hear good news soon!

Daughter was accepted today! Yay!

i got accepted by baylor too! i received a text msg as well. i guess now a days they are sending acceptance texts. haha. awesome school! how long does it take for the letter and baylor package to come in the mail from the text message date?
