Class of 2016: EA/Regular decision discussion

You guys make me so nervous!!! Still working on the essays… Is that bad?

I hate how we have to copy and paste the essay into the tiny white box…why can’t they just have an upload document button!

me too!!!

I just submitted my application. the waiting begins…

I will most certainly be waiting for another 4 months…my essays are the only hope I have, especially since theology is going to destroy my first quarter average this year.

just read online that the class of 2015’s ea rate was 16%… OMG

just submitted my app! good luck everyone : )

anyone else apply early and still have not been contacted for an interview yet? im starting to worry my spam filter screwed me over sometime in october.

that happened to me, and i just contacted the regional director of admissions- she emailed me right back (within a day) to tell me who my interviewer was

okay i just called the school and they said to call back in a week if i dont hear anything.

I’m doing EA to the college. I submitted all my stuff in yesterday and my counselor is mailing all the stuff out today. I met with dean Gillis last week and I’m real nervous!

I already sent my application for EA. They emailed be notifying me the name of who was interviewing me, and that it was my responsibilty to set up the interview…so I did. I got a 9/9 on the interview :)

Okay, I’m just being paranoid but I’d really appreciate it if someone who has sent in both parts helps me out quick. When I click on “review activity” on the apply web page, it says ‘part 2’ under submitted documents but no mention of part 1. I’m just wondering if it is possible they have ever received my personal data form, or is it even possible to start part 2 without submitting the personal data form?

So is it the same situation for everyone else when you review your activity.

My son submitted EA since Sept. After repeated phone calls, we were instructed to email the local interview committee chairman yesterday, and received email with interviewer today. I recommend to be persistent.

So, just trying to get a feel for competition. I have a 1400 SAT (they don’t count my 800 Writing :frowning: ) 95.25/100 UW GPA, three 5s on AP, rank 9/111, and my SAT II scores are 770 and 790 (taking my third in December).

My friend at GU is a freshman and had a 1470; hopefully being 70 pts lower than her won’t be a big difference :(

eric2dea- the same thing happened to me. i don’t think it’s a problem.

Just submitted my EA app for MSB!! I am so nervous. When do decisions come out?? Good luck to everyone!

december 15th! :)

How much does legacy make a difference in EA? I’m applying EA to SFS, and I really hope it helps that both of my grandparents on my mom’s side (and my aunt) are Georgetown alums!

There’s no way I’m getting any sleep December 14th. Good luck to everyone, and remember: even if we don’t get in, we have a second chance! I’m hoping the fact that I submitted my app at exactly 11:11 pm on 11/1/11 will help though :P

Got the app. in last night, but only applying RD. Best wishes to all of you applying EA!
