allyyyy101, thank you for your optimism. But based on the stats of the people that have I gotten deferred I stand no chance. The only way I could get in is if I was like the only Hispanic student that applied…but I doubt it. Lol! I don’t know, we’ll see. Maybe God will make my day tomorrow

@allyyyy101

Scratch that, I just got it a minute ago, deferred!(:

theyperch, I am sorry to hear that you were deferred! Doesn’t sound like a good day for Washington State! Wow, hearing that you and allyyyy101 were both deferred just makes me sad…

i’m sorry theyperch, that sucks.
@reallyconfused, i’ll pray for you!
there’s a girl who goes to my school who also applied, i don’t really talk to her because she’s one of those perfect stats type a-holes, but i’m pretty sure she got in, so i guess there’s a +1 for washington state.

@reallyconfused12

It’s totally fine, Georgetown EA is always extremely competitive and I’m happy to even have the opportunity to apply. My stats were a lot like other people who were deferred (2290/3.96 UW), so I know that I’m not alone and have faith that Georgetown’s adcom has and will make the best decisions that they can.

One of my friends got in as well, and she probably deserves it more than anyone else I know, so WA has someone to do us proud(:

I’m in! SFS with 2280 SAT, 4.0 UW GPA, debate team and community service for ECs. YAY!!!

oh and I’m from Seattle.

Thanks allyyyy101 and theyperch! You both seem like really great people! Hopefully I can avenge you both with an acceptance! Please pray for me! (And anyone else that wants to pray for me, well please feel free to! I need all the help I can get. Don’t hold back! LOL!) I’m praying myself too!

Well I’m definitely not better than 10% of the people deferred, but I guess it’s less of a numbers game RD.

Admitted!!
Major: Human Sciences, pre-med
State : IL
HS: Catholic
ACT:33, SAT2: 790 US Hist, 770 Bio
Very happy with the result!!!

@somestrangedream, is that a joke?? your ECs are beyond amazing! i got deferred too, with what i thought were pretty good stats, but looking at the amount of people who also got deferred with near-perfect stats is making me feel a little better. (no offense. it’s just that when even teachers are telling you you’re a fairly “solid” candidate for gtown, getting deferred is hard. and definitely NOT what i wanted to start my application process with…)

i really hope i get that letter today… the anticipation is KILLING me lol

btw congrats on everyone who has gotten in already-- i’m jealous!!

Im from Washington State (Tri-Cities, Pasco) and I haven’t gotten anything, maybe today?

ACCEPTED! georgetown sfs baby! :D

^Congrats!

accepted yesterday from FL! SFS

Congrats to everyone that has gotten accepted, I’m still waiting on the e-mail :(

@dancetilldawn - ditto! i need that email to come already!

from NJ and it still didn’t come in my mail today either…great
