<p>Hi everyone. I was one of 8 people deferred from this round. I’m just lost as to what I should do to improve my application by April. Any advice?</p>

<p>I applied to and have visited both Georgetown and CMC and I don’t see some similarities, but overall they have VERY different feels to them. I think a large part of that is Georgetown is so much bigger with more Grad programs than CMC and obviously isn’t a Liberal Arts College. I also think they’re very different because of the settings, DC is much different than the LA area and there are very different approaches to living on the west coast versus the east coast… something to watch out for at Georgetown is that it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to switch majors.</p>

Women’s Technology Program at MIT this summer. </p>
<p>Recommendations: Awesome, I told them to focus on my leadership talents. History and English Teacher, as well as supplemental rec from my professor this summer at MIT. </p>
<p>Essay: Decent. Common app: I wrote about my love of Swiffers. Supplement: I wrote about the Wizard of Oz. I tried to demonstrate my creativity in both, and in my common app I attempted to demonstrate my love of both business as well as engineering. </p>
<p>CMC interview: It went amazingly! I really talked about how much I thought CMC could help me, as well as the impact I could make on CMC. </p>
<p>Also worth noting: I’m dyslexic, and I attached an addendum to the common app explaining how my dyslexia effected my grades and how I have really had to advocate for myself.</p>
